Dr Rakowski is the best. He has been my doctor since 2002 when I was diagnosed at 38 with breast cancer. He is caring knowledgeable and on top of his game. I would recommend him highly

I have had Dr. Rakowski as my oncologist for over 14 years. Last September he diagnosed the return of breast cancer after14 years. He organized for my visit to a thoraxic surgeon and oversaw the treatment. I am now on an oral chemotherapy, which is working. He has been extremely caring not only to me but to my family. He is constantly reviewing all research and passes on all the information regarding your problem. He also treated my husband very successfully. I would highly recommend Dr. Rakowski

Dr. Rakowski treated my wife starting in January 2013 for pancreatic cancer. He put her on the oral drug Suten for 6 months straight. He saw her twice in that time period, the last visit only three days before she died at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, in June 2013 from sepsis. Her weakened immune system, the result of her extended but not carefully managed chemotherapy, was the underlying cause of her infection. While others may have had success under Dr. Rakowski's care, my wife was not so fortunate, even though we were led to believe that she had more time with proper care. Unfortunately we were misled. While Dr. Rakowski is a very personable and outwardly knowledgeable it is advisable to get a second opinion especially if you or a loved one is suffering from pancreatic cancer and the drug Sutent is the first course of treatment.

They simply do not come any better than this doctor. He has been treating me for 24 years and I owe him my life. He cares deeply about each and every one of his patients and their families and wants what is best for them. He also makes sure to be up-to-date on all the latest developments in the field. If he is your doctor, you are a very lucky patient. Just ask any nurse who has worked with him...he's the greatest.

I also feel I owe my life to this fine man. With advanced cancer he sort out a clinical study which has given me my life and health. I am a masters level nurse and have very high standards and he met them.

Dr. Rakowski saw my out of state father for a first time appt. on the Fri. before Labor Day weekend last year! He is compassionate, patient and well experienced. The chemo nurses were exceptional as well.
