This guy told the staff to not help my father who's heart rate was so slow it showed a flailing and, then they killed him. This guy should find a place to hide, he's killed people and does even less if their not Asian or white and look rich.

This guy didn't see my father and killed my dad. My dad was tired and hungry and decided he wasn't worth keeping alive.

This man neglected me as a patient. Refused me a xray after a horrific bicycle accident that left my cheek bone a 3/16" patruding into my eye and a broken orbital socket. He's a terrible doctor and should have his license taken away. I am now traumatized to go to Burnaby General cause of this man. You have left me disfigured. Shame on you

He simply does not care does not listen. You’ll get total lack of concern and compassion from Mr. Dr. David Yap. It’s shame that such noble profession has people like him. Good luck to you if you go to ER and this guy is on duty.
I went in emergency with extreme chest pain and breathing problem, and after 3-4 hours of mostly sitting and waiting, he sent me home with a few painkillers.

Doesn’t listen to patients adequately. He just wants to get you out of his emergency room as quick as possible. Overall he just doesn’t care.

Last year, I was in emergency with sharp pain. My family dr sent me to emergency Burnaby hospital . I was offered pain killer pill and sent home. Lately I find out I had shingles. This year I had pain and throw up. Was really sick, went to emergency twice. Dr . Lam asked me why I go emergency. I told him my dr sent me in with a note. Hope hospital has equipment can find out what is wrong with me. Again I was sent home with gravel and pain killer pills. I end with emergency again had gall bladder operation.

This doctor is really not doing his job properly as a professional who cares for his patients. My wife has been coughing for a couple of weeks, so I had to take her to Burnaby Hospital Emergency. Dr Yap was the doctor on duty, he asked a few questions, ordered for a lung X-Ray, and after that told us that she was fine, no pneumonia no infection and sent us home with no prescription. But after that my wife had no improvement at all. Her family doctor just came back after 2 weeks holiday and surprisingly got a report from Burnaby Hospital X-Ray dept telling him that my wife actually has a swollen and infected respirator tract! What a lousy job that Dr. Yap did to his patient??? He could not even examine X-Ray properly, causing my wife's suffering to continue and extend unnecessarily??? I really think Burnaby Hospital should review his credentials and capacities as an emergency doctor, and take necessary action to correct this.

Dr. Yap is a rare gem at an otherwise awful hospital. I agree with the reviewer below me - other staff at Burnaby General ought to take a page out of his book. Dr. Yap is compassionate and truly cares about your concerns.

Every time I have to be seen in the ER I hope and pray Dr. Yap is the physician on staff. Whenever I've had to attend Burnaby Hospital's ER, Dr. Yap is the one and only doctor who has gone out of his way to get me feeling better. The rest of the staff at BGH could learn a thing or two from him.

Came in at 2:30 AM with intense abdominal pain to the emerg dept while in town. Excellent bedside manner and really portrayed a caring mannerism. Wish I had stayed in Burnaby to get follow up work instead of travelling home. Back home it took a month just to get a damn follow up with the local physicians!
