Find another doctor. He does not return calls or forward test results. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Fernbach may be nice guy but he is far from a knowledgeable oncologist. He rushes through visits, doesn't follow-up on test results and makes the patient feel isolated without support. He doesn't instill hope and tells you from the start that he won't be able to do much for your cancer. He is old and apathetic and has been practicing for too long. Find a different oncologist who will be there at all times for your family and be an advocate for your loved one. Barry Fernbach is a poor choice and by working with him you are doing a disservice to yourself.

The Doctor appears to be knowledgeable but is administrative staff (office)is totally inefficient and arrogant. It takes them 3 or more WEEKS, plus several follow up phone calls, to have them forward results of tests to the Doctor that recommended Dr. Fernbach in the first place. This has happened twice to me & it is totally unacceptable in this day/age.

So nasty, rude and arrogant. Would never recommend or go back to him ever. He told me to explain to my father that he had terminal cancer and there were no options other than to go home and die. He could not be bothered discussing it with him. Ashame he is a doctor at all.

My mom was very ill with cancer and his office was so nice and helpful. He was very caring and took time with her. I don't know how anyone in the previous posts could say he was nasty. He was also very good with his records....Never had a problem with him...My mom loved him and I thought he was terrific.

This is the worst practice ever. This Doctor is of poor quality. I will never forget how my husband was treated by him. It is my understanding with the cancer we were fighting the chemo should have been given post surgery, It is my belief that by not following protocol aided in my husbands death. It is also my belief that the patients opinions and that of the family are not taken into consideration. And the staff(ie) Nurse prationer should thaw out.

Had to see him at one point when my own doctor was away from the office. I should never have made the appointment. As for the nurse practicioner, she could have come from the south pole. I know those who work in oncology develop some thick skin since so many of their patients are so ill and so many die, but please, replace the nurse. I have to say the other staff personnel are really, really nice, and the office is large, accessible, and sound-reduced which is a pleasure.
