I have seen Dr Delisle for 3 pregnancies. She has always been kind, comforting and very knowledgeable. Dr Delisle is funny, very straight to the point and will tell you like it is, which I appreciate. I chose to go ahead with the NIPT test for my 3rd pregnancy as my 2nd pregnancy had some concerns that I wanted to rule out early this time, for peace of mind. Dr Delisle heard my concerns and sent me home with the test kit that day. Another bonus is that she is almost always on time, if not early. For all three of my pregnancies, most times, I have been in and out of her office before my scheduled appointment time. Appointments move quickly as she is understandably very busy, but she will always take the time to hear your questions/concerns. Great Doctor and if I was to have another pregnancy would 100% choose to see her again.

My best friend and I went to get her NIPT test and her front desk staff ridiculed her when she went to fill out the paperwork. Stating that they would never spend that much money on a test and how it was unnecessary. She had a traumatic pregnancy the first time and wanted the test for peace of mind, but her staff belittled her medical decision. Don’t go here if you want to feel good about your medical choices over your body and pregnancy.

My first appointment with this doctor was fine. She was quick in and out but of course that’s life with the Canadian health care system. My issue was the second appointment. I requested the NIPS test because I had trauma with my last pregnancy. The maternal serum test told me my daughter had Down syndrome. She did not. This time, I requested it right away to confirm or deny. The receptionist and the doctor sat in the office and talked about how they wouldn’t pay the money for this test if it was them, and that the price is ridiculous. While I’m sitting right there. In front of other patients. In front of me. That kind of commentary is so unprofessional and I will be requesting a new doctor. This was absolutely uncalled for and I am still upset. Every patient has a story and mine was dismissed.

She was extremely dismissive and didn’t help me at all. I have been waiting 3 years to see her, and the appointment wasn’t longer than 5 minutes. She didn’t ask me any questions about why I’ve come in, let alone give me the chance to express my concerns. Being in my early 20s, I feel like she saw my age and made up her mind that I’m fine before she even came in the room. She only talked to me about different types of birth control, even after I told her I’d rather not be on birth control. She got up to leave and I looked at her with tears in my eyes and told her I’m worried I have PCOS, and she basically said that I don’t because I’m not fat and hairy, I’m “lovely” and then left the room. I watched her walk out in shock with tears running down my face. I have multiple symptoms of PCOS, and she never gave me the chance to explain. A professional and good doctor would have either let me explain my symptoms, or told me why they think I don’t have it with valid reasons-not just saying I don’t fall under the “stereotype” in a rude and disrespectful way. I am worried something is wrong and it will affect my future, and I will be devastated. All because she didn’t want to let me speak or listen to me. Maybe I’m fine, but maybe I’m not. I don’t know and neither does she because she did nothing to help me. I did not wait 3 years to be told I’m “lovely” and not have any of my concerns addressed.

For the record- I also work in healthcare. I can absolutely say I would never walk out of the room when a patient looks at me and is on the verge of tears, saying they’re scared something is wrong. Heartless and unprofessional.

This was my first time seeing her and I was extremely nervous about a procedure. She and her nurses were amazing and helping calm my anxiety. She was so quick and efficient the procedure was finished before I even knew it started.

Dr. Delisle has been my obgyn for 2 pregnancies. She delivered the first via c-section and everything went great. She is efficient, reassuring and kind. I appreciate her “no nonsense” approach.

A lot of people seem to be reviewing Dr. Delisle poorly for unfair reasons like wait time (that's a reception problem) or because they are too sensitive to interact with something who is direct and has a dry sense of humour. I have had a chronic pain condition for years, and despite the vulnerable state this puts me in, I have never misinterpreted Dr. Delisle's directness for anything other than an endearing personality trait - she is helpful, thorough, and hilarious - I always enjoy seeing her. She may be tight for time but that is not her fault! Dr. Delisle is extremely respected in her field and doing her very best! I fully trust her with my health.

Dr Delilse has been following me since I was having troubles getting pregnant 2 years ago. I saw her 2 times a year for PCOS. Each visit she reassured me my time would come and there was nothing preventing me from getting pregnant. She did a pap and ordered me the proper tests and ultrasounds to reassure me. Everything turned out fine- she told me if I lost a little weight it would happen. She didn’t feel a fertility clinic referral was needed at this time.

I worked to lose 30lbs this year and lo and behold my first cycle really tracking I am now 6 weeks pregnant! She was my gyno but switched to my OBGYN.

Dr Delilse always hugged me goodbye and was very positive with my progress and I always felt she was on my side. She was 100% right.

I am really excited to continue my pregnancy journey with her.
She is rushed but I never feel like my questions or concerns aren’t addressed. Just ask her, she’s busy just like every other doctor it’s just our healthcare system right now she’s doing her best.
I work full time and honestly don’t want to be in there long so the quick to the point visits are perfect for me!

Very poor bedside manner. Was very quick to dismiss me and did not listen to anything I had to say. When giving someone (under 30) a life long diagnosis she could be a little more empathetic and act like she actually cares about her patients. I understand they are busy, but that’s no excuse.
