Dr Coolen is simply the best! Words can not be enough to describe her dedication, knowledge, love and empathy she put in what she does! I am among the luckiest moms to have her to follow my last 2 complicated pregnancies. Keep up the good work Dr Coolen!

Dr. Coolen is an incredible doctor. I have never met a doctor as compassionate and caring, who is so invested in her patients (and I work in healthcare). During prenatal appointments she makes you feel like you’re the only patient there, really taking the time to listen and answer questions. I was fortunate that she was on call during my induction so she also delivered my baby - compared to my first baby, this delivery went smoothly and I am confident it is because of her skills and expertise. Anyone who ends up with her as their OB should feel very fortunate .

My husband and I are followed on the 7th floor for our twin pregnancy. We have had Dr. Coolen twice now and I don’t think I can say enough amazing things about her. She is kind and compassionate and the true definition of what a doctor should be. She is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I always feel so at ease after seeing her. I wish she was my primary OBGYN!

What a complete rockstar. I’ve never had a doctor that was both super knowledgeable and had such an amazingly kind and helpful bedside manner as well. I never thought bedside manner was important as long as I got the care I needed, but I guess I was wrong because she immediately puts me at ease just walking in the room because I am 100% confident all issues will be dealt with promptly and with the best possible resolution and followup. All that while wearing cute shoes… this woman is amazing. I am so grateful.

Unbelievably wonderful bedside manner! I had a very complicated pregnancy, and she had such a way careful and considerate way of telling me everything. She is so compassionate, truly the definition of someone that is passionate about their job. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Dr. Coolen is a walking ball of happiness. She made every visit a joy for myself and girlfriend. My girlfriend delivered early at 36 weeks and Dr. Coolen was there to answer all our questions. Would definitely love to have her as our ogbyn for our next pregnancy.

Very cheerful, kind, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. I wen through my first pregnancy at 39-40, not in perfect health. I would come in scared, prepared to hear more about to-dos, not-to-dos, watch-outs, etc. Thanks to her and her staff, I would walk out well-informed, confident, and happy. I felt like she was the best captain a ship-owner can dream of. She made sure I understand all my options and feel safe. I now have a perfectly healthy, happy baby. I am truly grateful to meet her and her crew!

I saw Dr. Coolen at the IWK perinatal clinic, as referred to by my Endocrinologist. I am not yet pregnant, but after many years of trying, hope to some day be. I live with mental illness and multiple endocrine issues which have affected my ability to get pregnant. Throughout the appointment with Dr. Coolen, she demonstrated a kind, empathetic, and cheerful bed side manner. She was easy to talk to, and gave honest feedback and practical recommendations. In particular she gave a thorough explanation of medication interactions and alternatives. She referred me to the AART at the end of our appointment, and I hope to one day have her as my OBGYN if I am fortunate enough to become pregnant. She is amazing.
