A kind, compassionate Doctor who takes the time with her patients and their families. I saw Dr. Amir in an emergency situation for surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy. While the surgery ultimately was unsuccessful, in comparing emergency surgery with Dr. Amir compared to the other Doctor I had...her approach to care and bedside manner were unmatched. She's left a beautiful impression on an otherwise traumatic medical experience.

Dr Amir is a wonderful doctor. She is very caring, kind and patient. She explains what she is doing and works with her patient to chose the best plan for them. I feel very fortunate to have been under her expert care. The entire team in the hospital were excellent, very supportive and provided the best of care. She called my husband after surgery to let him know how things went, which made him feel better. She is a very kind, generous person and we are lucky to have her practicing in NS and teaching young doctors.

I really appreciated the time Dr Amir took to explain things to me. She didn’t rush. She listened and took time to answer all my questions. Then she offered for me to call if I had more questions. Her staff were very kind. Everyone made me feel welcomed in the clinic.

What a gem! I saw this doctor several years ago for another issue and she helped me. I wanted to see her again when I developed another concern she was so good to spend time with and my husband. Explaining things and letting us ask questions. We knew she was behind in her clinic but she never rushed and made sure we were happy with the plan. On the day of my surgery she and her team made me feel so comfortable and safe. She called my husband right after surgery to let him know I did well. I saw her again recently and wanted to give her a hug because she showed such kindness. You won't be disappointed if you see this doctor.

Not an excision “Nancy Nook” approved OBGYN. Will prescribe Lupron, Orilissa or Visanne but does not do full excision of endometriosis.

Dr Amir did surgery to fix my pelvic floor. So caring and compassionate. I feel very fortunate to have had her as my surgeon. Her team was also great. I couldn’t have asked for better!

Went to this doctor after dealing with debilitating pain for over a year, a painful dragging, like a big rock in my pelvis. She did an exam, said there was "nothing wrong with me" that I was "perfectly healthy " that I was "thin and so it was easy to tell there was nothing wrong". Only to get my medical records after dealing with that same pain and more for 12 more years, come to find out she wrote in the report that I possibly had endometriosis and a laproscopy was advised!!! She said NOTHING of the sort. Just looked me in the eye and told me there was nothing wrong with me, maybe try physio. I finally got a doctor to listen to me, uterus was tethered to my abdominal wall, adenomyosis and endometriosis. She completely brushed me off and was not helpful, neither was my family doctor who never mentioned her note either. ALWAYS get your medical notes between doctors/imaging results and reports and OR reports and imaging!!!
