I also had a problem with Dr. Hamiliton's bedside manner. She didn't wait until I was undressed before opening the curtain. She also didn't have all her instruments ready before the examine. I felt very exposed, not to mention the excrutiating pain of the biopsy. I was crying and shaking by the time it was over. I would never go back to her again.

Not very helpful with finding and/or discussing solutions. Didn't learn anything from the appointment, except that I might want to try to use Aveeno soap instead of Dove....which later proved not to really matter much. I had been having recurring yeast infections for over a year, and expected some kind of help with solving the problem. OR some explanation regarding why this could be happening (it is her area of specialty), but I left with neither of these things and very disappointed!! I continue to have this situation and my family doctor is not so inclined to send me to another gyny because she feels we've already done that. But I hope there are other gynecologists with more expertise regarding such a common problem for many women.

Dr. Hamilton was the rudest, most uncaring doctor I've ever met. She blatantly did not care why I was there, made it abundantly clear she was needed elsewhere and yelled at me to undress while she was on the phone with someone else. When she was doing an internal exam on a terribly painful area (the reason I was there) I cried out in pain and she shouted at me to relax. After 8 months of agony, waiting for an answer for my pain, I left crying with a recommendation to try a better birth control pill and to stop complaining. I wouldn't let her examine my salad, let alone my body. I don't care how smart she is, she is a horrible doctor and a mean person.

Dr Hamilton is terrible in my opinion. She spent most of my appointment talking about her problems. She has a crappy bedside manner and poor listening skills. I wouldnt let her look after my frozen chicken. I didnt go back to her and was very relieved to get a second opinion with another gyne md.

Personally, I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Hamilton. She and I developed a great relationship through my pregnancy, not only did she remember me from visit to visit, but she took the time to ask me follow up questions from previous visits. I have recommended her to others as I felt she really knew her stuff, and no matter what happenned my unborn daughter was in good hands. I did get a sense that she was not partial to conducting exams on obese women, based on few conversations we had, and too be honest, didn't think much of it. We all have our opinions and my take was that so long as she was a good doctor to me, that is what was most important.

I'm not shocked to see negative feedback about this doctor. I got the feeling that she did have an issue with people who are overweight, she made me feel terrible my first visit with her and still has no problem bringing up the fact that she thinks I'm obese whenever possible. I only have 2.5 months left in this pregnancy and I feel like I should have definetly switched Dr's after my first unpleasant experience with her. I don't doubt that she is very smart and knowlegdeable,in fact, I'm sure she's a great doctor and has saved and delivered many babies, but she does not have any bedside manner or compassion for her patients whatsoever. I would not recommend this doctor.

I found this doctor very frank and knowledgable, and easy to discuss issues with. It was entirely a positive experience, no fluff, but that's what I liked.

Couldn't agree more ! Thsi Doctor makes he patients feel horrible! My experience with her 8 years ago was very unpleasant! My husband let her have it!!

This Dr. has NO bedside manner. I was visiting a gynecologist for the first time, I was VERY nervous. I have a weight issue I was working on and she ripped me apart for being overweight. She looked at me and called me fat. I told her I try! I eat right and exercise I am not one of those ppl who eat 3 big macs at a time so what SHOULD I do? She told me to stop eating so much and looked at me with disgust. Then i had to spread'em for my first pelvic exam and she didn't explain what she was doing. She actually inserted the speculum inside me and turned around to do something and then YELLED at me when it fell on the floor because I couldn't hold it in there with my muscles. This woman brought me to tears in the office. It was the worst medical experience I have had. She was down right mean and had cold. I am NEVER stepping foot in her office again. Frankly she has terrified me to go back to ANY gyno. She didn't address my concerns at all. Avoid her at all costs.

I was very dissatisfied with this Dr. She made me feel as though I had no real problems and that my ultrasound was nothing to worry about, she seemed more concerned about me quitting smoking than she did my gynecology problems. Since then I had both ovaries out so I guess she was wrong! Poor bedside manner and very dismissive.
