She seems very out of date when it come to certain procedures. Ex. ingrown toenails. She has never been on time and I am usually waiting a minimum of 15-20 minutes past my appointment time.

Been a patient since I was 7, I'm 28 now. I find that overall, Dr. Metcalfe is caring and knowledgeable. There have been times when she seemed quite rushed, and I know this is an issue she can do something about, although I can only imagine how many patients she sees in one day - if she spent lots of time with everybody, no appointment would be on time. She is only human and I can tell that she is overworked. Having said that, I think that depending on the condition, more time should be alloted for certain patients. The vast majority of diagnoses from her have been correct, including severe gallstones which emergency-room doctors had misdiagnosed as gonorrhea (!). Most medications she has prescribed me have worked well. I am almost always called in much later than my appointment was for, but again I believe this is due to high demand and little supply. Many people seem to be quick to bash the doctor or staff without taking the time to imagine a day in their shoes.

she is always in a rush and never listens to your concerns. i find that her answer to everything is a prescription. she mis-diagnosed my mother and said she was just stressed out when she had cancer. it took her 2 years to finally figure out what was making her ill. the staff at the desk are always rushing and never seem friendly. i would switch doctors in a heartbeat if any were available!!

We always feel quite rushed with Dr. Metcalfe and we find it is getting worse as time goes on. The last time I was there I waited an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time. She makes you feel like a number and not a person. Most of the time I feel ignored and she is walking towards the door while I am still speaking.

My sons and I have been going to Dr Metcalfe since shortly after we moved to Kitchener. She took us on when no one else would. My sons have no trouble talking to her about personal issues. I find her very thorough and caring.

Our Family has been going to her for years. The last year has been bad. I had gone in for a 4 yr check up and she had a terrible cold. Our family had gone all winter cold free. Less than a week later everyone was sick. The last straw was when she told my wife she had an STD, after many stressful discusions and treatments, it was determined that she was allergic to the new brand of toliet paper we tried! When we confronted her only comment was, oh, at least it wasnt serious. At that point the damage was done to our relationship.

I've been with her since I was a child, and was generally never very helpful for me as a male patient. After an accident causing 3rd degree burns, I was told to visit my GP by the clinic and specialist. During my 2 minute visit; she cut my bandage off, looked at my injury from a distance, seemed nauseated, asked who my specialist was, then left the room leaving me to re wrap my injury with the cut, used, dirty bandage. This was very difficult to do considering the place, size and severity of the injury, my condition and the condition of the wrap and bandage. She did not seem to care. I was already unhappy with her as a GP, but this instance was beyond not being helpful.

Dr. Metcalf has been our family Doctor for decades now and has taken care of very well. She may be very busy and the wait times may be a bit longer then we would like but this is due to what she has to deal with due to the shortage of Doctors and trying to take as many people that she can. The staff is great but could try to talk to the people waiting to make you feel a bit at easy when sick. Thanks for being there for us Dr. Metcalf!

She has been my doctor for 22 years. I have always received the best treatment out there whether it be from her or a specialist that she has sent me to. I find her very informative and always willing to help with a situation. I respect her & her staff. In return I receive respect. I find her open & honest with all my dealings. I am sincerely thankful she chose the medical profession.

she told my sister that she looked ****, when she was suffering from cancer that this person, I can't call Dr, ignored since she received a good weak up call from a specialist who told her where to send my sister????is this a doctor?
