Dr. Price discounted a whole series of symptons for celiacs disease: positive blood test, thyroid disease, alternating constipation- diarrhea. He said I didn't look celiac and suggested using Metamucil. After my colonoscopy, his office didn't send my doctor my colonoscopy report even though there were some abnormalities. He was condescending and treated me like I was hysterical. Only after getting sicker did I see another GI doctor who confirmed celiacs disease. I cannot recommend this doctor.

Dr. Price is an amazing dr. He knows what he is talking about and gets you the stuff you need as soon as he can. He has a long wait list because he is so popular, that's also why he came back into the business after retiring. He is very personable. He has an interesting sense of humour which some people might take offense to, if not taken the way it's meant. His receptionist is amazing too! :D

He made a diagnosis and followed up with the appropriate prescription and further tests and for that I am grateful. But his bedside manner was not the best - didn't explain things well, his tape recording account was not accurate which demonstrated that he didn't listen that well or care about attention to detail. Either way, that makes a patient a little nervous.

Dr. Price knows his stuff, but has a terrible bedside manner. Saw him after a year of struggling to find a diagnosis. He was very condescending when I knew medical terms for a lot of my symptoms (ie erythema nodosa- he was very skeptical that I knew what I was talking about, but I've had them for years!), and was VERY condescending when I said I thought I might have Crohn's, as the list of symptoms was basically a checklist for my own symptoms. Turns out I was right. :P Tape recorded all his info in front of me, though- it would have been nice to have him explain it all to me, instead of acting like I wasn't in the room. His staff messed up though, they told me I was on a waitlist for a colonoscopy, so I waited 7 mos before calling only to find out that they were supposed to book me in ASAP so long ago and that there was no waitlist!! Dr Price referred me to my current GI, Dr Kaplan, when he found out how severe my Crohn's was, as he could not dedicate the time I needed himself.

Dr. Price saw me after an abnormal CatScan. He was kind and listened to me after months of trying to get help for what turned out to be IBS. I feel very lucky he was my doctor.

Told me dad he had 3 months to live. A year later when my dad went back for a stomach biopsy, he told my dad that it was best to ensure that his 'affairs were in order' and predicted him to be gone by the end of the year. I can't tell you the rollercoaster of emotion this sent us on. Dad is still alive, it's now 16 years. Dad decided to go to a doctor that believed he would live...and so he did. Horrible bedside manner.

I went to Dr. Price with severe diarreha and he performed a colonoscopy and told my GP that I had colitis and I should take Imodium. I didn't feel this was enough and went to a second specialist and the first thing he asked me was what medication I was taking. (Dr. Price also new what I was on). As soon as I told him Arthrotec for arthritis, he told me to stop this medication as it can cause diarreha. I was off this medication for just over a week, and my condition is now back to normal. Why didn't Dr. Price pick up on this medication - after all, he's supposed to know about Arthrotec! Not impressed at all!

I was referred twice to Dr. Price. Fortunately I am a nurse and did not have a serious issue. He rushed through the consult. It all felt very mechanical and I felt sorry for an elderly gentleman who followed me, as he appeared very nervous and uninformed. I'm sure he has the knowledge. It comes a time for older Drs. to retire.
