Just the best doctor I have ever seen in my 63 years. He gave me back the power to stand and walk again without pain.

Dr. Kevin Wing is friendly, informative, and punctual. He took his time explaing procedure, and answered all my question. Very professional. And, Dr. Wing's office/booking assistant Alison is a gem ! She was always very sweet and on top of things. My foot thanks both of them. Kathy Anderson, Vancouver,BC.

Dr Wing did an ankle replacement for me. Ankle replacements are complicated, however, mine turned out quite well which has helped me regain a lot of mobility. I think this Dr is excellent and I thank him for his dedication and expertise.

Dr Wing corrected a previous surgery (by another doctor) It had not healed due to a medical condition and altho the first surgeon was good the diccerence bewteen the two surgeries was night and day. Before my surgery I was seen by a nurse, anethetist, rehab nurse and physiotherapist. Allmy conditions were explained to em. Such as spending 23 hours a day for two weeks with my foot above my heart. I had to use crutches both before I left the rehab before surgery and had to go up and down a flight of stairs before I could leave the hospital. He cut a spiral into my calf muscle so that my gait would not tighten. Took bone from my bunion and used it as a graft on my toes. The end result was a surgery that went very well and healed in about half the time (6-7 weeks). Great doc and even better surgeon!

I had a surgery with him recently. The instructions after operation was vague and at some point incorrect. He does not provide full description of procedure before or after surgery. It's difficult to ask him all questions you may have regarding procedure. The fallow up appointments are limited and long time after surgery. Mostly I ended up emergency visit for problems happened in between appointments. My foot has got complication which could be avoided if complete screening would be performed in fallow up appointments.

I have dealt with a few surgeons office at this point and by far Dr. Wing's is the finest. Their ability to make a patient feel at ease and aware is incredible. I find some of the comments that were made do not make sense as Dr. Wing does not see patients for back problems, but there is another Dr. Wing that does. Also, Dr. Wing is quite young and has only been practicing for 4 or 5 years, so I don't think he could be responsible for the bad things that were written about or the good ones that happened before that time. Someone should regulate this site to make sure it is accurate. People can get terribly conflicting information. I recommend Dr. Wing 110%!

Complications developed following surgery that should have not occurred if the doctor had taken proper pre and post surgical procedures. Doesn't explain necessary information. Late for appointments.

AWFUL Doctor, disgrace to the profession. I had an experience (several visits with Dr. Kevin J. Wing back in Fall 2000). He was very RUDE, did NOT CLEARLY EXPLAIN the procedure or its risks. Used innapropriate terminology (above patient understanding level) . USED SWEAR WORDS when I was asking him follow up questions about risks etc (My dad was with me and we were shocked). Seven years later, this memory has not left me, and today, through this website I have the power to let people know. I've recently begun medical school (2006) in Canada, and we are being taught patient interaction skills: Google "Macy Model" if you are interested in what a "good" doctor should in theory try to do. (I realize theory isn't always the same as practice due to time limitations). Dr. Wing doesn't even come close to how a professional should conduct himself let alone a doctor. If I had seen him today, I would have written a letter of complaint to the Royal College, but 7 years seems too long for that kind of action.

Polite, knowledgeable, explained procedure, provided info sheets on procedure and detailed after surgery care. Performed surgery on my calf and foot 4 years ago. I would not hesitate to go back to him if I had any other foot problems.
