After another ER Doctor had examined my Grandmother and tried to send us home, Dr. Affleck intervened and ran tests that found a serious internal bleed was causing the anemia and lack of mental acuity we were observing. Without his observational abilities, interest and ability to listen and believe family members, we would have possibly lost our Nana. Incredibly nice, caring and intelligent Doctor!

my daughter was in and out of the ermerg for over a year other docs rushed her home, saying it was this that and another.no apparent signs of the infecton consuming her body, mean while one more trip he saved her by having a hunch it was appandicitis and all her tests still came back normal i will forever cherish this man he admitted her instantly no second question about anything

Dr. Affleck is amazing. After being abruptly sent home by a resident earlier that weekend, I brought my very ill infant back in. Dr. Affleck did all needed testing to determine that she had pneumonia and required oxygen and admission. He was kind, thorough and listened to her complicated medical history before jumping to any decision.

Dr. Affleck is responsible for saving my life because unfortunatley my specialist was not available until 7 a.m. My body couldn't care less about regular Surgical hours and decided to rupture and hemorrhage around 2:30 am at home just a few days following my emergency surgery. If it had not been for Dr.Affleck and some highly efficient nurses I would not be here typing this now. Thunder Bay is truly blessed to have this doctor still serving our community.
