Norwest Community Health Centre

Thankfuly I found this center 30yrs ago. My children received their first needles, as well as the healthy start parenting groups when they were younger. I've been seeing Dr's, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, counseling as well as the FASD programs that they offer. Throughout the 30yrs I've never been left behind as policies change, NP's change etc. It is great to know that whatever is happening in my life my health history will always be in their capable hands. The FASD programs have helped me and my family cope with those in our family. Both of my children are in their late 20's and they are both happy to have a wonderful circle of care!

Wow! I cannot believe this walk in clinic, I don't usually have to attend this unit, but I am a patient here, the confusion I experienced here on Dec.31 23 was unacceptable, I have never been so gaslighted from a health care provider in my life, the Nurse practitioner was rude, I could not achieve my medication, for my health team was away. Her first words when entering the room was, " first of all you have to understand I don't know you" very confusing, why would she I never saw her before in my life. Secondly she gaslighted me all through the visit, and when looking for the sample of my medication, she sent the security guard to get it. Upon leaving this appointment, I felt hurt and humiliated. They have a sign at the front, that says "everyone matters" I think it should read "we matter" for she had no care in the world about me during this visit. And gaslighting a patient, is not dealing with the issue they came in for,bits dealing with the fact they don't want to deal with the patient, they are not there to care for the patient, but to control.

Fired a co-morbid heart attack patient. New sociopathy (imo) running the management. It is about profit ,people. (imo)

Trying to get in for a walk in appointment July 17 2021. They give you a card to call in only. Guess what no one answers. Easy money on their part. Dont have to go to work....but get paid. Im taking my health care elsewhere and I advise anyone looking for health care please don;t waste your life on this clinic.

Some really good staff. Hit and miss. Manager Nancy needs to do some public service. She's all about the money. Balec is an entitled child. Layout is security complete with remote locks. Spooky. I feel for the well intended, engaged staff working their butts off.

Never in my life found a more punctual clinic. Got an appointment at 1130? The nurse will call you in at 1129. It’s insane. So lucky to be apart of this place.

Excellent service from footcare, referrals, mental health care and exceptional RNP and doctors. The professionals all take their time and listen to what you are saying and act upon your issues.

Extremely disapointing. As mentioned, extremely hard to get through by phone. Rare follow ups by RN after testing, even if outcome of imaging, bloodtest etc is concerning. Lack of compassion and empathy as well, walk ins often oddly empty, but are claiming to be fully booked. Also noticed that more recent, critcal comments suddenly disappear on here.. Makes one wonder about this place's ethcis.
