When I first met Dr. Dobkin I was a little apprehensive by demeanor, his stern exterior...but as we got to know each other we had a great Dr./Patient relationship....I felt as if I could tell him any thing and everything that was going on in my life, and he took the time to listen....Great Doctor....great guy...Will miss him

The worst office in operation. No empathy for patients especially those up in age or in pain. The staff is soooo horrible and rude especially Lisa. If you're in it just for the money then quit the job and stop stressing patients out with your attitude. I've witnessed occasions where the staff would talk about patients and roll/huff and puff when speaking to them as well. You can never get through when you call but when you go to the office they are all there doing nothing so why can't you pick up the phone again?!? I've been going to this doctor for over 25 years and it has not been the same since dr.Kurtz. Dr. Dobkin does not care about his patients. He's no better than his staff. I can go on and on about this practice but you all can read from plenty reviews the apple does not fall far from the tree. I would never recommend this doctor and i say to you all save yourselves.

I don't know how he gets away with what he does..talks about personal stuff to patients about his other patients. Does not care at all. Does not have proper record keeping for patients. Only in it for the money. I wonder how he sleeps at night. No conscience, that is why. College of Physicians and Surgeons are just as bad as he is.

WOW. I have never experienced a day like today. After 27 years of being my family doctor, the true doctor revealed his personality. After an escalated conversation with his staff - whom have no sense of manners and service - he came out. I should add - I was polite and a gentleman throughout. When Dr Earl Dobkin came out, he fired me as a patient. Told me to find another doctor. Wait. What? After years of building a relationship, I thought he'd come out and want to listen to my perspective - my point of view. Instead, he was just as rude. Suffice to say, several patients whom witnessed the ordeal came out after me to console me. What do I hear? Barking from the staff telling me that I'm not allowed to be in the hall and that they will call the police. WOW. Typical government funded service. No service. No accountability.

I have had Dr. Dobkins as my Family MD for both my dad (73 now) and I for the past 10 years or so. The previous reviews about the front reception staff and Dobkins attitude is very correct. My dad has recently gone blind and as I've brought him to and from his appointments, I can attest the careless attitude the Dr. shows. He certainly rolls his eyes, does not physically touch/palpate, check vitals - non of the above unless asked to. During the last so called "physical" my dad who is again 73 now, asked him to check his BP, check his weight. I have spoken to other Doctors I work with and they have just been appalled at his 'physicals', because as his idea of physicals consist of sending me to the lab for tests and booking for a review of the results and ticking away what is normal. Lab results already come back with results highlighted blue within and red if not within norm. Again physicals lasts for MAX 5 mins. I am switching Drs ASAP as I have no idea what he has missed.

I have to agree with the comment left by the medical student below. The best thing about Dr. Dobkin is that he will gladly refer you to anyone else (though not every doctor will take his referral). His receptionists are beyond horrible, and your chances of getting though on the phone are around 20-30% at any given time. He has lost my records before (for over 6 months), has neglected to tell me about concerning u/s and bloodwork results as well as possible side effects of medication. The wait time at the office starts at about 1hr and goes up from there. A physical is about 10min. He is very close to retirement and unfortunately just does not care.

Anyone giving this MD a rating beyond 2 needs to re-evaluate their situation and knowledge of the health care system. He is my family member's GP and as a 4th year medical student I am beyond disgusted with the quality of care he offers. His attitude is terrible, he is uninterested in what the patient has to say and gives half-assed (ie incomplete) examinations. His referrals are terrible: other MDs who care about little more than to fatten their own wallets (admitted to by his referrals and himself). His office staff is rude, unhelpful, and outright useless. They need to be harassed in order to get anything done, and it takes multiple attempts to get them to forward a referral out or access your own medical information. I myself tried him as a GP and was disgusted with his record keeping (a piece of paper that was lost when I tried to come in for a second appointment). His only strength is in being a sheep who will refer you to whatever MD you youself can get the name of.
