First class a hole. His arrogance comes out when he
disagrees with something you did or didn’t do according to him. Other endocrinologists are much more helpful, listen and understand the difficulties of managing type 1 diabetes. He seems so hard done by just by seeing you for 15 min and filling in time to charge OHIP. Staff was pleasant and helpful but he has to go !!!

Dr. Wilson was my endocrinologist years ago. Besides being a great Doctor and Physician he is a gentleman and outstanding fellow. I was referred to the local Bariatric clinic for a failed assessment for surgery but a successful treatment on Optifast. I was discharged and lost touch. Hats off to anyone who is under his care.

This doctor rushes you out of his office and doesn't work with you on finding a solution, he just throws whatever he wants at you.

I have been seeing Dr. Wilson for over 25 years and he has been the best doctor I have ever encountered.

All I can say is I had major surgery just before the pandemic in Toronto following the advice of Dr. Wilson. I was very happy to do this in the beginning. I know it is my responsibility to research what I was getting into and I did. I did not get the surgery he recommended because I had previous scar tissue that interfered with the surgery. Not anyones fault. I recognized I would have to improvise my medications after surgery and I called Dr. Wilson and was told to come to his office one week after surgery. No problem. My husband and I got to that appointment and Dr. Wilson was not acting in a professional manner, he was moody and told my husband and I that because I did not get the surgery that he recommended that I would forever have the same problem and he basically threw his hands in the air. My husband could not believe that this man was a doctor. Before all this, I really didn't see this side of him and I was taken back. I asked him what I should be taking medications wise as this surgery would be changing all of this. He told me to stay on the same meds but I was sure this was not a good idea as one of the meds would greatly effect me at this point after surgery. He just looked at me and said just stay on it. 5 days later I was in ICU for 3 days and in hospital for a week due to that medication. I should not have been on it after my surgery and it almost killed me.
My husband called Dr. Wilson's office to have him follow up and make him aware I was in ICU. Dr. Wilson never once called my husband or I back, nor did he come into the hospital or call us at our home number at any time after this.... I mean never. To me this was a complete lack of care on his part. My husband was so mad after that he stated he would not want Dr. Wilson to ever see us again. So, that is what happened and I believe the hospital took an interest in this case for review as it was so badly handled on his part. I do have to say, he was a very nice man for my first 6 or 7 visits with him before my surgery. I felt totally side-swiped. Just be very aware of what you are getting into with him. I felt totally on my own after this event and of course the pandemic was in full swing after that so it was a very long wait to get another endo in that area and 18 months later I still have not met the new endo guy as he wants to do phone calls only still! Not particularly impressed with the endos so far in this area.

The negative reviews do not align with him at all, he is very straight forward, honest and respectful.. A bit funny as well. Most likely the negative reviews are a result of others not being able to handle on working themselves or it just didn't work out the way they thought it would.

I have been treated by doctor Wilson for years he is very helpful and caring. He always goes out of his way to make sure his patient’s are doing well. I moved away for two years and when I came back he took me back as a patient no questions asked. I have had in person appointments and by telephone and he is always very knowledgeable and friendly. Genuinely cares about his patient’s.
