After a year of seeing Dr. Awad I left with more problems than when I started. No attention or effort put forth into listening or paying attention to what was going wrong or any kind of support with fertility issues. No problem taking the money for procedures but spent most of his time in the office watching movies on his computer. While we sat and anxiously waited. Do not recommend.

My experience years ago with him still haunt me. He treated me terribly, including talking us into an unnecessary surgery to fit his schedule. He did not see me after surgery and, after 24 hours of him not stopping by, I fired him. I ended up needing a 2nd surgery because his sutures did not hold and I got a serious blood infection. My 2nd child also needed to be a c-section because of his mistakes. I choose her birthday carefully so he would not be the doctor at the hospital to do the surgery.

I suffered from endometriosis from age 14. Wasn't until I saw Dr. Awad and he ordered tests needed and finally learned what was causing all the pain. His staff were always caring and compassionate, always willing to fit me in when I needed him. When I met my current husband, he did everything in his power to help me conceive a child but was very kind when he at last had to cancel the planned surgery after I suffered a spinal injury explaining that the pressure of a growing baby would most likely result in me be paralyzed from the waist down. This doctor had tears in his own eyes when he told me and continued to see me even though at times it was as much for psychological issues related to this as it was for followups after the endometriosis had spread outside the uterus. I can't say enough good things about this doctor or his staff, he was my doctor from 1998 until he was forced out by Red Deer hospital cutting his surgical hours so much so he could no longer treat his patients the way he believed they deserved. Sad to see the negative comments here but for me, I couldn't have asked for better.

I went to see Dr Awad with a very sensitive issue. He addressed all of my concerns and made me feel less upset the issue. He made sure I was taken care of and that ensures that I felt at ease the entire time.
His staff is good but Brenda is absolutely amazing and is the entire reason I gave the 5 star staff rating. She is kind, caring and one of the sweetest lady I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

After explaining that I had no intrest in being prescribed medication. He prescribed hormone meds. (He said for pain) they likely would have caused more issues with fibroid growth. He got hung up on a prior diagnosis and dismissed my concerns... and felt a need to show me, on a chart, where my uterus is. I've had children and prior procedures... I was pretty clear on that. The best part of the entire visit was that he referred me to another doctor. I was not impressed by him at all.

I think many of the bad reviews are just people trying to blame a hard time in their lives on a Dr. We went to Dr. Awad with infertility after trying for two years to get pregnant. He did all the tests necessary and even did tests I asked for, he took everything into account. We did one IUI and even though I had an appt for the following day I called the clinic and claimed I thought I'd ovulated the day before and wanted to come in immediately, and they accommodated me right away. After 8 months seeing him we conceived twins and Dr. Awad delivered them fabulously. I had multiple problems during the pregnancy and each time he did any test necessary to ensure that I made it through. He told me that even if he wasn't on call he would go to the hospital to deliver my twins. One of my babies was breach and he delivered her with no problems. A c-section was his last resort. He explained everything to me exactly how it was, and I always understood exactly what was going on. We returned to him for our third baby and when I went to the hospital they tried to send me home. He was there on call and when I told him this was it and she was coming, he listened to me and let me stay. She was born an almost an hour and a half later.
We will return to Dr. Awad if we have another baby. He knows what he's doing and if you treat him with the respect he deserves, he is very kind and warm. He is straight forward... get used to it. I had another Dr. come in and check me making jokes and made me totally uncomfortable. Dr. awad is a no joke- amazing Dr.

If i could rate a doctor a negative, that's what he would get. He delivered my first born child, by no choice of my own. He was on call. I had a horrible birthing experience because of him. He was incredibly rude to me and my husband, as well as the nurses (who were all amazing). Thankfully my daughter ended up to be 100% healthy, I myself have seen numerous doctors and specialists trying to repair the unnecessary trauma and damage he caused. None of it would have happened if he was doing his job when my labor began. I wont get into details, but i would strongly suggest all women stay far far away from him. He shouldn't have a licence.

I chose Dr. Awad because of his knowledge. I have found him to be extremely understanding, compassionate, and has always had the best professional help for me, I totally am happy I went to his practice. He knows what he needs to address, does it effectively and in a very timely manner. I have extreme issues and he was very compassionate once he knew what I'd been dealing with. I will continue to see him and encourage anyone who has had problems with menopausal issues to seek out his assistance. The staff are amazing as well!!
