Dr Heshka has been my doctor for about 4 years. She made a hugh difference to my life as a diabetic, She is intelligent, knowledgeble, engaging and a treat to have as a doctor. I have worked in the health field assisting the settlement and integration of immigrants and refugees, with a particular empahsis on women. From my medical colleagues I have only heard how she is excellent. I know I am lucky to have her as my Doctor. I sense also that she treats her staff well and respects them. They all say very good things about her. I consider her to be a role model.

Amazing Doctor and Amazing Human Being. I love love love talking/listening to Dr. Heshka. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful and takes all the time necessary to explain what the problem is and what the course of action should be, even though she has hundreds of other patients waiting. She won't leave until there is understanding of what the next steps are. She's also extremely patient - if one course of action does not work, she calmly explains options without pushing them down my throat - she never makes somthing sound critical even though it might be. Her patience is every patient's virtue. Gem of a doctor and Ottawa is abundantly lucky to have her!

Dr, Heshka is an amazing doctor, I have been her patient for about 5 years now. She is very clam, precise, understanding/compassionate
and i am lucky to be her patient. I know others who have expressed similar strengths.

Whenever I've met her I've left feeling like I've had an appointment with an old school male doctor. The sort who is patronizing and dismissive towards women, especially older women.

Dr. Heshka combines all the qualities of a wonderful physician. She is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Above all, she listens, a trait that some other doctors might adopt. I am lucky to have her as my diabetes specialist.

OCC staff are rude and lack any compassion. . I waited over 1.5 hrs after my phone call appointment time and neither my cell or land line phone never rang. Yet, when I called the OCC office they said she called. I asked for another appt and the receptionist said I hade to get re-referred by my GP.

Dr. Heshka has been my Cardiologist and Endocrinologist (Diabetes) for some years now. She is a dedicated, knowledgeable and very pleasant Doctor. Dr. Heshka became my Cardiologist after Dr. Joel Niznick retired. I feel blessed to have been treated by two of the top Cardiologists in the City of Ottawa.

Dr. Heshka is one of my best specialists that I have encountered for dealing with my heart issues and diabetic problems. She always has a pleasant personality, she is very knowledgeable and of course, very helpful in explaining all the how's and why's. Her staff is also the very best that can be found around Ottawa.
