I have a complex medical and surgical history. I needed an MD who could THINK, diagnose and treat across my symptoms and figure out what was really going on. John can do that and more. He may be the brightest MD I have run across in years, but he is also definitely the most compassionate. I do not think I would be still breathing air if it were not for his tenacity, his sensitivity, and his care. He gave me my first 2 years without a major surgery or transfusion or hospital stay in 14 years. We worked together to figure out how to best PREVENT or intervene early on in my symptoms for whatever I turned up with. He explains. After almost a decade running the ER at one of Sarasota's Hospitals he has seen so much. He has taken all he learned and now can figure out what is really going on across conditions. He is a very special doctor and you are very lucky if you find him for your own doctor. In Sarasota, there is no one better to manage and work with you on simple or complex medical needs.

Was not impressed! I found him to have little interest or knowledge about my diagnosis. He has a large ego and does not listen well!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mason since moving to Sarasota Florida 2 years ago. I consider him an outstanding primary care doctor. I am fortunate to have found him. Within his scope of expertise, he has been excellent and spot on with respect to any required treatments. When my issues or concerns were best served by a specialist, he has identified and referred me for consultation and or treatment to excellent specialists. Even after referral, he has been ready to help me sort through the advice of specialists and make related decisions. I particularly appreciate his always wise and learned counsel in all matters that have come up regarding my health. He has emphasized to me the important role of regular screening, particularly for older patients. He has additionally done risk assessments, given my own particular health status, of factors affecting my health and longevity. He has worked with me to pay particular attention to my higher risk factors and how to mitigate those risks. I would gladly recommend Dr. Mason to any relative, friend or acquaintance in search of an outstanding doctor generally or, as I know him best, as an outstanding primary care physician.

Dr. Mason is the best doctor you can ever find. He is caring, compassionate, he listens to all your concerns and advises you. He has help me and my husband a lot. My husband used to have 350+ sugar levels now they’re under 150. I would totally recommend him to anyone

After getting bad advise from another Dr. I went to see Dr. Mason and he immediate knew what my problem was and ordered tests to confirm immediately. Within a week I started feeling better after starting the proper medication. This was a serious condition that could have had life threatening results had I taken the medication the other practitioner wanted to give me. He listens and is very knowledgable

If you are looking for a doctor who cares and will be there for you anytime. Dr Mason has help my husband so he can work and run our business with all is pain working he has a Mason all his life. Dr Mason is the only doctor that our family has gone to that cares . Thank you is not enough to say to Dr Mason for helping my family. Dr. Mason has literally helped to give my life back to me. I have had man years of chronic fatigue like symptoms amongst other things which have been difficult to diagnose and treat. Dr. Mason listened to my many issues and was encouraging that we would figure this thing out! The bloodwork he ordered - nailed it! This was my first initial visit with him and he was able to diagnose and treat. Three months later I am well on my way to healing! How can you even begin to thank a person for this gift of helping my body heal? I am so thankful and would recommend Dr. Mason without hesitation.

Me and my husband had been to 3 doctors before we had seen Dr. Mason. My husband had Gout in his Right Big Toe that is what the first Doctor told us. After a week and no results. He was hospitalized for another week, no results. Each time he was sent home with a aspirin. Thank God for Dr Mason he knew something was wrong right away and when he sent my husband to the hospital this time he was taken care of. Dr. Mason did not hesitate in getting my husband to right place he needs to go. Please if you are looking for a caring Primary Dr. Choose Dr. Mason!!!!
