She destroyed my self confidence completely, her methods and thinking are very outdated as is her language, it seems like she foes not keep up to date with current research and practices. I had several breakdowns because of her and I only went to her because I "had to". I am not alone in my opinion, I know MANY other people who have had issues with her.

I had a horrible experience with Helma. I was on ODSP at the time and was very broke but had paid her twice out of pocket after telling her I was extremely poor. She made no mention of having a sliding scale nor did she offer to let me make payments. I called her to reschedule my third appointment with her, as I had gone broke from our previous sessions, and had left her a message. I waited a week for her to call back and left another message. I waited another two weeks and continued to call her with absolutely no response. I am left to assume that since my message stated that I would have to reschedule due to lack of finances, that she dropped me like a hot potato. I was at a very psychologically vulnerable time in my life and her actions were extremely unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend Helma to anyone and I am still stunned at how a professional in her field of work could behave in such an uncaring way.
