She is a fabulous doctor snd has incorporated both traditional and naturopathic treatment (when I asked her too). I’ve been seeing her for 8 years now and she has been a key part of my treatment.

Dr Kuriya is an excellent doctor. She treats you with respect and I was quickly diagnosed and started on regiment of medicines. She monitored me closely and was always willing to answer any questions. She is very knowledgeable and takes an interest in her patients. I recommend her

I am a very active participant in my health care and believe in a holistic approach to finding the best management of an issue. She seems more focused on the ‘medical model’ .. application of drug therapy without seriously considering other impacts/factors of the disease. She spends time, but I always still feel rushed/unsatisfied with the interaction - she’s rather dismissive and not up on the latest research/considerations in the management of the disease.
Good medicine requires an engaged physician who is willing to actively listen and work with you to satisfy All concerns & questions. She’s not the worst - but she isn’t the best either.

Dismissive and quick to say it’s not autoimmune regardless of elevated ck, ldh and positive ANA blood levels then dropped me as a patient after doing bloodwork twice because she said she wasn’t taking new patients. An easy way to say it’s too complicated and not obvious so your care with me is complete.

I am so impressed with her EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE THE WHOLE PERSON.She provides total care with conscience and a phenomenal diagnostician in her field of Rheumatology. I am a physiotherapists who has worked with some of her greatest teachers. They were pioneers in the field of Rheumatology and are so proud now to have this DOCTOR to make it greater than anything they could have imagined

Dr Kuriya is a warm and respectful doctor that shows compassion and empathy for her patients. I changed over from another rheumatologist due to a poor experience, and I couldn't be happier with that choice. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain treatment plan and expectations. She is also very punctual!

I was sent to her because of my autoimmune disease. She sent me to a blood test, X-ray... asked me to come back a month later to let me know about the results and said to me that if anything is wrong from my tests, she will call to see me earlier. No phone call so I came a month later thinking that my results are good. When I saw her, this doctor said to me that I am healthy, my disease is no more dangerous... I asked her to print my results and I discover later on the same day that something was wrong. I went to see a different doctor (same day) and I had a urine infection and e.coli! This doctor let me with e.coli for a month! The treatment I got was not enough strong and had a kidney infection because it was too late!
If you want a good doctor, do not visit her!

Dr Kuriya has been nothing but helpful and always listens to your thoughts and concerns. She has helped so much with my inflammation which turns it to be arthritis. She is always on time and very thorough.
