Completely unwilling to offer alternative forms of therapy for non-neurotypical individuals, insists that CBT works when it doesn't for everyone, said that very few people actually have binge eating disorder but wouldn't offer an assessment for it, didn't even remember that I was in her small class a few nights before, when I told her I knew someone who died from bariatric surgery she dismissed it as rare and wouldn't even really acknowledge my fear, very condescending attitude in general.

Very condescending, and told me to stop taking my antidepressant. Insisted I do yoga instead. My family doctor was appalled when I told him.

I think she is condescending. All she discusses is healthy food choices and portion control - not the reasons behind WHY I have an unhealthy relationship with food. A) there's a dietician at the clinic for that and B) if it was as simple as following nutrition instructions, I wouldn't be a patient at the bariatric clinic.

Have attended several workshops run by Dr. Telfer. Her ability to effectively relate the mental health condition to those afflicted and not is remarkable. She has an incredible ability to communicate difficult and complex subject matter in an understandable manner.

Extremely pleased with her knowledge of eating disorders. Science based and experience supported solutions put forward cleverly with care. I haven't met anyone better.
