Dr Appendino has been our Neurologist since he came from Winnipeg to Calgary 6 years ago. This wonderful doctor has been so helpful to our family for our little guy since he was a newborn and we are so blessed to have him as our doctor. He has a wonderful sense of humour, is caring and personable and explains everything in terms we can understand. As a nurse, i particlarly appreciate his amazing bedside manner and attention to the needs of parents who try to navigate the diagnosis of rare types of epilepsy. His vast expertise makes him an invaluable asset to the staff at Alberta Children’s Hospital. We love Dr Appendino and would highly recommend him!

The best neurologist blessed with patience n sense of humour and very grounded. Always there to answer my questions and advised us the best possible solution for our daughters epilepsy. He is amazing.

My 11 yrs old daughter was recently diagonized with seizures. Dr. JP Appendino made us feel at ease and explained everything in detail. He’s a very patient and caring doctor.

He is now practicing out of Calgary, AB. We lucked out and got a referral to see him about my sons epilepsy. In less than a year, Dr.Appendino has told us more about my sons condition than other doctors could in almost 14 years. Thanks to him, (and neurosurgeon Dr.Hader), hopefully my son can live a life free of seizures! He is absolutely wonderful!

Wow! Wonderful doctor! Extremely thorough and obviously very knowledgeable. Went through the EEG and explained everything. Was amazing with our child. Obviously extremely caring in what he does. His nurse also was wonderful!

The most amazing doctor you will ever have <3 after almost a year of being critically sick and in and out of hospitals he properly diagnosed me and was with me until he left Winnipeg. The most caring, amazing Doctor you will ever have. Beyond knowledgable, and is the reason why Iam in remission and finally a healthy girl!! Great listener, and it very cautious and came up with a great treatment plan. Would recommend to anyone

Dr.Appendino is amazing. Superlative bedside manor, extremely knowledgable, compassionate, and patient. He was gentle and kind with our daughter and compassionate with his deliverance of her diagnosis few days after her birth. Amazing doctor.

We love Dr.Appendino! He has made my son and us (the parents) more at ease after each visit. I love how he speaks directly to my son. Our concerns are always addressed and we enjoy his sense of humor. My son wants to be just like Dr.Appendino when he grows up :)
