Dr. Stephens is a great MD, but it has been some time since the call agent has been rude. She never listens to your voice message and she will ask you to repeat your message and then she will interrupt you in a rude way saying, "I can see this in your kid's folder that was transferred to us." Once, I told her I need an appointment because of what you can see in my kid's folder, she got mad at me. In another instance, I told her my kid has a runny nose, so is it feasible to have him get the flu shot? She answer left it to me to decide. Well I am not a doctor, and she did not provide me with any information to help me decide.

Very knowledgeable and confident. Listens to our questions and concerns but does an excellent job providing perspective. Lets us know when we have nothing to worry about vs when something needs to be monitored. She and her staff are great with our young children. Only complaint is it's difficult to reach anyone by phone and we don't always hear back after leaving a message. That can be said about all Doctor's Offices it seems.

Disappointing. Dr. Stephens was listening to our concerns but she wasn't able to come with any plan for our children, probably inexperience. One year waiting for her to come with some sort of advice or guidance, too long, happy to find a new pediatrician for my children.

I thought the five minute appointments would be a thing of the past now that we have a pediatrician. With walk ins dismissing your concerns I was expecting better health service. If I express a concern, as a doctor your job isn’t to dismiss it, your job is to ask questions and assess whether there might be something serious or at least something worth looking into. 5 minute appointments are not a thing of the past apparently and now I am so discouraged from booking any appointment with Dr Stephens. We used to have a family doctor back in Toronto and she was so much better. She took her time, and gave us at least 15 minutes per appointment. If Ottawa wasn’t so lacking in family doctors and pediatricians I’d be looking for my way out. Too bad we’re desperate. Also the staff never answer the phone.

Appointments are registered at a kiosk therefore low rating for staff. Doctor's bedside manner is poor; cold and flat demeanor. Although her reviews seemed good I can't say I saw any of these qualities in her. Disappointed in her lack of caring and dismissiveness. Certainly not someone who should be working with children.

Disappointing. Uncomfotable dealing with adolescents who present with mental health concerns. Cold unsympathetic demeanour. Likely the result of inexperience.

We adore Dr. Stephens, as do my children. She takes time to listen, and is wonderful with my baby and my toddler. We are very lucky to have her.

Very knowledgable doctor. She listens to you attentively and doesn't ignore any of the symptoms you mention. Very nice to the children as well.

A bit of a wait but that's Appletree. She's a great doctor, smart as a whip, and very attentive.
Highly recommended, she's great with kids.
