Absentminded and not very knowledgeable in PV. Always runs late and is not technologically savvy - uses hand written notes where aspects of conversations are lost and has to be reminded of prior conversations.

Hilary Wass not only saved my life, she has also helped me to maintain good quality of life for the last ten years ago. We met when my GP discovered that I had CML. She listened - very thoughtfully , as is her usual - reacted appropriately ... and has been reassuringly calm and knowledgeable ever since! And when the Gleevec showed that it was working, she was thrilled with "our" victory! Thanks to her - and my GP - I have had few worries about having Leukemia! Dr. Wass has been amazingly supportive!

Dr. Wass does not monitor my Hemoglobin blood tests, she never sees when it's dangerously low and then she'll tell me to go to the Emergency Room. She works 15 hours per week so isn't available to help me now. So tomorrow I'll go to the Emergency Room. I had another doctor for 1 year & he would look at my blood tests & book Iron or Blood IVs. Hillary is retired in her mind.

Knowledgeable, empathetic, dependable, caring, confident in knowing that she dose not have ALL the answers but consults with who she needs to consult with to get the best for er patients. Appears to go out of her way to ensure her patients know what they need to know and hear. On a scale of 10 she is definitely an 11
