I was treated for non-Hodgkins lymphoma by Dr Kotb in 2019 and was followed by him in until recently. He’s a very personable individual that takes the time to answer questions. When there was any suspicion of relapse he was on it without delay, stating “we have to prove that it hasn’t come back.” When it came time to transferring my follow-up care back to the family doctor he left that choice up to me. I have remained in remission, but feel confident he would be there if I again need treatment some day.

He is a wonderful caring doctor. He knows everything there is to know about multiple myeloma. He has called me at home a few times when needed to provide support. He always knows best! He is surrounded by a great team and I am happy with the medical care and support that I have been given.

I was transferred to Dr Kotb at CancerCare Manitoba after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. During 6 appointments over a 4-month time frame -- from discussing a chemotherapy treatment plan to being told I was in complete remission, I found Dr Kotb to be very knowledgeable, honest, open, polite, positive, and extremely supportive. These attributes and good evidence prompted me to discontinue chemotherapy after 4 of 6 rounds. It turned out to be the correct decision because it saved me from another two rounds of "poisoning" and saved Manitoba Health $$$$.

Doctor Kotb has been treating me for two years for multiple myeloma. He has provided excellent care and has incredible knowledge of this rare cancer. He has a caring manner and provides “plain” speak explanations. He has even followed up with evening phone calls. He is well supported by Cancercare nurses Brittany in Winnipeg and Julie and Tanis in Gimli. Thank you all.

Recently I have retired from contract work in diagnostic imaging. Previously I was a charge technologist in diagnostic imaging technologies. For fifty years I had the opportunity to evaluate all aspects involved with imaging. This is the first time I have evaluated as a client.
A tumour was found on my first lumbar vertebrae causing serious compression to my spinal chord.
Dr Kotb was notified. Due to the severe compression to the chord he required my life flight to Winnipeg for emergency spinal fusion. I realize this was an excellent team effort by cancer care specialists. My surgery was arranged and completed with a 100% predicted positive outcome.
I have no neurological problems. Because of the actions of Dr Kotb and the cancer care team, my quality of life remains. The alternative would be paralysis. The process shall continue through radiation as Dr Kotb manages my cancer. I am most grateful to Dr Kotb for his most efficient action to maintain my quality of life.
Thank you beyond words .

Amazing doctor. My wife has had many doctors for multiple myeloma; many excellent but he was the best. We saw him in Winnipeg. Always positive, optimistic, looking for new/novel therapies and treatments; presented hope even when things were bleak. When red tape got in the way he just pushed his way through it to make things happen fast. I'm sure he added time to my wife's overall lifespan and his quick actions helped avoid more problems.
