disrespectful, inconsiderate and unprofessional. i will not be seeing this doc or his assistant ever again. i arrived to my appt early as I am a punctual person and I proceeded to wait longer than I should have because he was late. then when i went to go find them i heard his assistant and him talking poorly of me claiming that i was faking my symptoms. absolutely disgusting behavior.

After my experience with this doctor and his staff I was appalled and in disbelief by the arrogance and incivility of both this "doctor" and his assistant. To start off I found it almost impossible to get an appointment with this doctor as his assistant never answered my calls OR emails during the supposed hours of operation. When I did finally make contact with the assistant, she was very unwelcoming and crude. She sounded cold and distracted as if she wasn't even paying attention to what I was saying. I felt like she had an attitude with me when I was asking questions and she was not putting in the effort to help me. I could almost hear her eyes rolling when she would speak to me in this insensitive tone. She gave me one worded answers and would huff and puff while talking. After attempting to speak with her in a civil manner I was very off-put with her behaviour and poor mannerism. This "doctor" on the other hand left me speechless with his arrogance. He was so rude and the one time I did talk to him over the phone he seem uninterested and it made me feel like I was being overlooked and my condition was not important or a priority of his to help. I was severely unimpressed with this doctor and his assistant. I was under the impression that doctors were supposed to help people but clearly this doctor's priority was not to help, it is to just make money and look down upon those who are not of his status. After my unfortunate interaction with a different doctor and his unpleasant secretary I had hoped that I would find support from Doctor Toma but clearly I was wrong. I will not make the same mistake again. SOME ADVICE: STAY AWAY FROM ST. PAULS HOSPITAL.

Dr. Toma has done nothing to help me after a triple-bypass. He was my 'named' cardiologist, but in 2 years I only spoke to him on the phone twice. The only advice he gave me was to take a med in the evening instead of in the morning. It felt like 'go away and come back in 1-year'. I have been steadily going downhill, and even my family Dr. couldn't get him to respond to help me. My advice: AVOID THIS DOCTOR.

Dr Toma has an extremely bad attitude. He treats you as if he doesn't care and has never talked more than 5 mins, review medications and that's it! No, checking heart beats, blood pressure... nothing. And, we as patients are supposed to trust him? Not me!!!

Stay away from this unprofessional, so called Cardiologist. He is rushed and does not care how you feel. He barely places the stethoscope on your chest and says, "Sounds Good". What sounds good??? He gives short answers to your questions. Extremely uncaring. If you are referred to him, ASK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR.

Dr. Toma has been approachable, informative and concerned with my care during the past three years. He is straightforward, open and receptive to questions. Both my spouse and I are very pleased to have his expertise available. His staff is also friendly and accomodating.

If at all possible, avoid this man. It's been 2 years since I've had a major heart attack and I have foolishly gone back to him. My last visit, he spent 3 minutes at most and told me nothing! Except to say, "We'll see you next year". He had his stethoscope on my chest for 2 seconds and said, "Sounds good".

Dr. Toma and his staff are most excellent. I have been a patient for almost two years following a cardiac arrest. His professionalism and openness have been extremely beneficial not only in treating my issue but in ensuring that all my questions were answered to my full level of understanding. They don’t take anyone my age seriously. I’ve had heart issues my whole life, I go to them because I’m new to this city and they completely brush me off cause I’m “too young” to have heart issues. Don’t even bother to look into things other than run stupid tests on me and shoo me away without answers. Took time out of school just to be treated like I’m not important enough to be helped properly. Waste my time. Not going back for the rest of my tests.
