My son and I met Dr. Wirzba at Grey Nuns Hospital. My son was brain injured at birth: he is 52 now so enough to say we have met many doctors. Dr. Wirzba was thoughtful, interested, kind and clearly did all he could to help. Dr. Wirzba did all he could to help, and quite a lot more. Most importantly, he communicated and never gave an indication of being too busy. One would think my son was his only patient. The results of taking time with my son and I cannot be measured. Dr. Wirzba made progress with us - 52 years later. Thank you Dr. Wirzba. I wish there was more like you. PS I know nothing about staff but they must be great. Christine and Jason

I had an allergic reaction to my iron infusion, he assured me it wasn't a reaction but it was my decision to continue w/ double the dose. Had a more severe reaction that kept me in the hospital for 8 additional hours. I called him and it took a week to get back to me. Then told me there was nothing else he could do for me, but I should make another appointment in 3 mths. With an iron level of 2, I expected more than 1 plan of action before running out of ideas.

Dr wirzba is the only doctor that was able to explain what had happened to me during my twin pregnancy. My case was and is very rare but he convinced me not to start taking very aggressive and dangerousn medication that you can only take once in a lifetime. I'm sure glad I went to him for a 3rd opinion. Had I not, I would not know where I would be today.

I can't say the same for one of his staff co drs. She's part time and is not thorough at all. She is negligent and that in addition to dr corbit is why I ended up in the situation I'm in now. I only wish doctors could be held accountable for there actions in Canada.
