Dr. Kruger has a very poor and abrupt mannerism. Impatient and not kind. Doesn't consult the patient file prior to coming into the room so doesn't remember why you are there in the first place. I will be going elsewhere.

A prescription was suggested within 5 minutes of my appointment based on little or no information from me about my present medications or former reactions to similar drug intervention; there was repeated use of medical language unfamiliar to me and impatience with my need for clarification regarding that language; I heard a condescending tone of voice while answering one of my questions as he walked out of the office with his back turned. The most helpful thing he did was to print out for me, when asked, the test result from Dr. Sawyer (Lansdowne Medical Clinic) which Dermatologist Dr Sarah Baldwin had requested 9 months previously and had sent on to her referral, Dr. Kruger.

Dr Kruger has been my dermatologist for a few years and although he has always been respectful and very reserved, there is a definite shift in his practice over the past two years. It's not appropriate to spend less than 5 minutes for followup with a few skin conditions including a history of melanoma. There seems to be a move in the direction of skin care, micro peels, botox injections and a broad "shopping cart" of aesthetic dermatology. No doubt, this is one of the reasons why there are no 6 - 12 month recalls for chronic conditions: "You will have to request a new referral."

The receptionist is quite rude (at least the one I spoke with) and consistently fails to return patient calls/requests even when urgent. Dr. Kruger refused to put me on medication because I am a women and if I were to get pregnant it would hurt the baby. Last time I checked he was treating me, not my hypothetical child.

Hello Dr. Kruger,
you might need to find another receptionist since the one you have can't ever answer the phone or return calls. Why keep/pay her?

I spent months waiting to see Dr. Kruger and then had a six minute appointment. I am a middle aged women experiencing hair loss. He wrote a a prescription that I can’t even fill as there’s a shortage (not his fault), however, I did call his office with some questions for him as the appointment was so rushed. I called twice with my questions and his staff promised to ask him and get back to me. Never heard from them. Extremely poor service. I’d recommend finding another dermatologist who is effective and at least cares about you during the consult. Very disappointing.

I was referred to address the psoriasis on my scalp and I have eczema in my ears and outside of my ears. He was only willing to look at my scalp. A 30 second exam. He told me what I already knew, that I had psoriasis. He refused to look at the eczema in and around my ear. He prescribed some sort of shampoo and lotion. I asked if I could make another appt if it doesn’t clear up and he told me to go back to my doctor and that I would need to be re-referred. He spent 7 minutes with me tops. Seriously the worst experience. I don’t even know what the point was of seeing him.

Victoria’s only Dermatologist - the worst doctor ever - with no other option he knows it - worst staff imaginable - booking an appointment is like speaking to North Korea - better health care funding and improving the number of Doctors in the province would eliminate someone like this from existing.

It was my first visit to Dr Kruger, a referral regarding a sore on my lower leg that had puzzled many doctors for two years. One look at it and Dr. Kruger correctly drag it as cancer and performed another biopsy on the spot.
Dr. Kruger was personable, knowledgeable and straight to the point. He told me what we would be doing, what was likely to be involved, and any complications that may emerge. I highly recommend Dr. Kruger and now consider him my permanent Dermatologist.

This was my first visit to Dr Kruger and I am impressed! With more letters behind his name than in his name, and 17 years of medical schooling, he quickly identified my lesion as cancerous. This is after I’ve seen three doctors, spent five valuable months waiting on a bungled biopsy and still no idea what the prognosis was.
Dr. Kruger immediately performed his own biopsy to identify which type of skin cancer I’m dealing with, stitched me up and rebooked me for suture removal and biopsy result follow-up.
His attitude was friendly, informative and very caring. He clearly has vast knowledge of his field of expertise and cares very much for my comfort and understanding of my condition. I will highly recommend him and will continue to see him as my personal dermatologist in the future!
The front office personnel and nurses were wonderful and my husband accompanied me throughout the entire visit without complaint from the gals up front orDr. Kruger. Overall, other than the diagnosis, a very pleasant experience!
