I love Dr. Lupin and his nurse practitioner, Sheri. Sheri is the kindest, most helpful, and most precise nurse injector I've ever encountered. She is the best! And Dr. Lupin is world-class. Highly skilled, incredibly thoughtful. I've always had the best experience with Cosmedica.

This physician no longer takes patients, but instead has a thriving private cosmetic business run by his female assistances. The prices for private elective treatment is very high. My impression from dealing with the staff is that they really are only looking for the affluent client, and should you present with challenges like a disability, they're looking for get rid of you. This is what happened with our daughter who is physically disabled. In terms of the staff in this business, we found some were helpful, but a number of the assistant staff were patronizing and difficult to deal with. Generally a poor experience for us.

Dr. Lupin treated me yesterday after a long awaited appt. I had to wait until i was at least 6 months post accident. I was blown away by Dr. Lupin's knowledge, his honesty, his thoroughness and his explanations. He did not try to upsell me at all on anything I didn't need. I am thrilled with the results and i would highly recommend him. Staff are friendly although the nurse i had was a bit awkward socially however I would not consider that bad, just who she is. Thank you Dr. Lupin, amazing !

As a physician trying to get some minor procedure done, it was appalling to see the nurses/admin trying to up-sell me on the most expensive treatments without being able to cite any concrete scientific evidence for its efficacy, describe how the treatment works, discuss the risks and benefits, or knowing how my other medical issues affect the recommended treatment. Steer clear of a place with untrained and unsupervised nurses doing treatments they don't know the first thing about.

Im sure Dr. Lupin is very nice but Im rating the front desk communication. We had a consultation for Mira Dry 6 +months ago and paid the $100 to hold our place. I made a mistake and thought appointment was Feb. 5th not Jan. 5th. They left an email 2 days before appointment asking to confirm. I didn t cheque my email so didn t see it so didn t confirm the appointment. . I got a call the am of Jan. 5th saying I missed appointment? they said they called the day before. I looked and saw their # so they did call but left no message? Had they left a voice message or even texted & left message there is no way we would have missed the appointment after waiting so long. I felt bad we missed it but you’d think they would have left a message? at least to make sure we were prepared, gave us instruction to shave 3 days before etc etc…….instead said I needed to put $500 deposit down and wait til July.
Have an appointment next week in Vancouver with super friendly staff who I’ve already had more communication in a few short days. Very disappointing. The staff was nice in person , sure Dr. Lupin is great….but do pay attention and keep track of your appointments to avoid disappointment.

I was referred to him by my GP. My keloid treatments are covered under my BC health services card but I was not informed of this and was charged $150 every single visit. I’ve spent at least a couple thousand unnecessarily especially on a university student budget. Cosmedica more of a dermatological spa than a dermatologist. I’ve since been going to a different dermatologist and have gotten the same injections free of charge and much faster appointments and wait time. Also, the laser technician didn’t get all my scars so certain ones needs to be re-treated. Not a very thorough practice, in my experience. And the receptionist, Sarah, was on the phone when I walked in so I didn’t go up to the desk to check in for my appointment as to not interrupt her call, and she didn’t think to check the wait room where I was waiting for over 45mins before marking me a no show. I got up to ask how much longer the wait time was going to be and she said she didn’t had have any more openings that day so I had to leave and reschedule. I did not receive any notification of any kind that my appointment was cancelled so I could’ve sat there all day waiting if I hadn’t gotten up to ask

I had a serious complication at the hands of Dr Lupin. He injected filler into a blood vessel and did not deal appropriately with this emergency. I am very lucky my cheek did not become necrotic and had to deal with pain, numbness and blood coming out of my tear duct for weeks afterward. His follow up was abysmal.

Kindest doctor i have ever been to. He was honest as well and recommended i be seen by a surgeon as would be a better option for me. He didnt make any money off me and as it was clear he really has patients best interests at heart. This will definatly be the place i go to for any treatments he can fix on me. Overwhelmed by his kindness
