Like most of you seeking a professional to help with some issue I was hesitant to allow another person to try and help me get well. I suffered from a severe back injury 8 years ago and since then I had seen the best doctors at NYU hospital and several specialists here in CT. I went through surgery, prescription drugs, and endless doctor bills for 4 years until I got fed up and gave up believing that anything would help more than knock me out for hours at a time. I became depressed and filled with anxiety and went the next four years not seeing any kind of professional for anything because of my lack of trust I had from my previous experiences.

Fast forward almost 5 years and I finally sent Yan an emailing going on, how I am now, and begging for help! Within a day I received a call and message back with the info I needed and her kind voice telling me that she definitely thought she could help me. And damn she wasn't exaggerating.

My insomnia is slowly getting better and I am getting to sleep for longer periods of time and more frequently. And my back pain that forced my body to create a whole mess of problems over the last 8 years of not taking care of myself, well I can say that she is simply a miracle worker!! I CAN NOT STRESS HOW MUCH YAN HAS INCREASED THE VALUE OF MY LIFE! I have had weeks that I simply could not get up from the couch! I could not walk or lay or sit comfortable. And then I saw her and she would fix me! So much that my favorite parts of my week was getting to see her!

She works out of her home which is immaculate! She is one of the most genuine, kind, caring and talented people on this planet. Which is hard to come by. So many doctors spent two whole seconds not even looking me in the eye to hand me a prescription for something that would just make me sleep... Not Yan. SHE WILL FIX THE PROBLEM AT THE ROOT! She is not trying to mask your root problem by treating your symptoms! SHE WILL FIX THE PROBLEM! Seriously ask yourself when the last time that you had a problem and you saw a western medicine practitioner, did they make the problem go away? Or just pushed the problem off with surgery or pills in order to get you in and out quickly so they could get their co-pay and be on to the next customer. Yeah I said it! We are customers to western medicine practitioners and it is saddening! I can go on and on about my complete aww that Yan has left me in. I go in hurting from a frozen shoulder and within the session I have 70% mobility back and pain has subsided! She is a wonder worker for my body allowing me to function as a person with less pain and I know continuing treatment with her will lead me to being as close to 110% as possible! She has been great and flexible with scheduling, and it is nice to know the person helping you, genuinely cares about YOU the patient!

I will leave saying this, if I could afford to see Yan every single day of the week I would. She is timely and I am always greeted with a smile and I am in and out, right under an hour. Like I said before she is simply amazing at helping her patients!! And she cares. Contact her you won't regret you did!

I have seen Yan for about 8 sessions now ,she's working on my sinus's, upper back and immune system. I have seen a big difference in all of them, she really gets to the problem. I 've learned a lot about this alternative treatment and how your body responds to it, just amazing. The atmosphere is very relaxing and she makes you feel very welcome. I highly recommend Yan and her treatments, I'm very happy with the results.

When I decided to try acupuncture, I did a lot of research before choosing Yan Huo. My initial reason for choosing Yan was her impressive credentials. But what makes her truly special is her caring manner and desire to help her patients. When I see her, I feel that I have her complete focus. She has successfully treated several medical issues for me that I did not realize that acupuncture could treat. I am really pleased to have been able to avoid prescription medication or other more invasive treatments. I have recommended to her to all my family and friends.
