Read the reviews. They are very accurate. Short , condescending, sometimes even rude and no empathy or compassion . And even worse she doesn’t instill confidence that she even knows what she is doing medically. Go elsewhere!

Just a terrible experience. Dr Bir was dismissive , rude and not helpful at all. She seems to dislike her job and even more-so treating paltients with pain. She had zero empathy or compassion whatsoever . She didn’t even take time to ask questions other than obvious ones she had memorized. If you get a referral go elsewhere. Trust the reviews of people who have actually seen her. You will definitely regret it if you see her.

The worst doctor I have ever seen. Not before or since Dr. Bir have I ever been literally yelled at by a doctor.

I cannot emphasize how bad my experience was from start to finish. She was late , unorganized , dismissive and rude. Most of all she seemed to not even care or take the time to understand my symptoms and conditions. She ordered several lab tests ( many of which I had already had recently ) and dismissed me and told me to get used to the pain ( she has zero empathy ) , and then had the nerve to suggest a follow up in 6 months. I would not recommend Dr Bir at all. Have sought a new referral from my doctor.

My experience with dr Bir was terrible. She was rude and very condescending. When she asked me what was wrong I told her and then she that it was resolved which it’ wasn’t . I got referred to her for a reason as my family doctor understands that I’m in daily pain. After I explained that she basically said that it’s normal to have pain and be healthy. She doesn’t give time to let you speak nor does she make you feel comfortable enough to talk to her. Left the visit almost in tears because I was so humiliated and felt like my symptoms weren’t real. She lacks empathy, compassion, punctuality ,professionalism and the list goes on. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I am sorry for those who have expressed they did not have a good experience. In terms of my own experience I had my first visit with Dr. Bir today. I found her thoughtful and very pleasant. She listened to my concerns and symptoms and ordered tests. I had a very positive visit with this doctor.

Will be short and to point. Terrible medical professional and seemingly not even a nice person. She hates her job , and takes it out on the people she treats. . One assistant working for several doctors. Waited and waited and then had 10 minutes of lecture and condescending interaction and then her catch all you must learn to “ live with the pain” . Dr Bir then orders some tests and says see you in a few months. Not a chance !!

Had looked at the review sites but still attended my referral. Shouldn’t have. Office is generally disorganized , even chaotic and the appointment itself was worse. Dr Bir is dismissive and even rude and abrupt at times , rushed and very repetitive. Asks standard questions and doesn’t allow for a free flowing conversation. Seemed to lack any empathy which is strange given the disease she treats. All in all experience exactly as majority of honest reviews would indicate. Not a good fit at all. Go elsewhere if you can.

Good day to all,
First visit was an anxious one and went ok. Not sure whether we are a good fit but will possibly go back for my follow in late summer and see if any better. Briefly , the staff was helpful, friendly and professional ( although it appeared she didn't seem to like her job much ). Dr Bir was very prompt , polite and professional. It seemed a little forced or rehearsed and not alot of input on my part ( she never really took the time to ask how I felt , or what I wanted or anything other than very short basic answers ( most of which was on the sheet ) . It was sort of rushed I felt . I felt she knows what she is doing contrary to many reviews on this forum , but then again I am not a doctor so I am assuming she does. The doctor - patient rapport was not a positive experience for me . So if she can help me maybe that is the best situation but when you are seeing a specialist over a period of time you hope there is more to the relationship than your OHIP number . I left wondering though if she truly cared about me getting better , or the personal side of how this terrible disease affects her patients . Time will tell I suppose .

I had a terrible experience unfortunately. It was very predictable once I actually reviewed her reviews. Wish I had done so prior to seeing her. Impersonal . rushed , very general in her questions and extremely unsympathetic to any actual personal pain or issues . Live with it and take medication was her advice . She seemed put-out that I had actually done some of my own research and dismissed it readily and in an condescending manner. I believe that some people no doubt are accepting and believe her to be a good doctor. Maybe I have more expectations or just drew the short straw.
