Dr Chen was excellent in the aspects of being his patient. I had 2 vitrectomy without any pain . All the processes are in place so that any information you need before the operation addresses the patients concerns. All the staff are all professional which puts you at ease,

Dr Chen is an excellent surgeon. He is willing to spend the time to explain eye conditions and the proposed treatment. He can be contacted and responds to queries between the surgery and the follow-up consultation. Highly recommend him to anyone with retinal issues or requiring cataract surgery.

Dr Chen and his very professional, friendly and caring team at both the Vision Eye Institute branch in Bondi Junction and their Day Care surgery centre in Chatswood have provided me, over many consultations and 4 operations (vitrectomy and cataract) with absolutely superb medical care and attention (so good, in fact, that after these 4 operations, I have not felt the need to take even a single aspirin for any [non-existent] post-operation discomfort). Levels of pre-operation, during operation and post-operation attention are so good that one feels very comforted and well looked-after to such an extent that, once everything is over, one sort of secretly hopes that something might go slightly wrong so that one can receive that sort of attention again! Particular thanks, over the years, to Caroline and her colleagues at Bondi Junction, and in Chatswood to excellent anaesthetist Dr Peter Good, and to nurse assistants Louise Flaherty, Edwina, Wendy and all the other highly professional and caring staff there. Thank you, Dr Chen.

I had an epiretinal membrane and cataracts on both eyes. The operations went very well. I have good vision now, no glasses, and the last surgery was only 6 datys ago.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes 2 weeks apart. Dr Chen and the staff were very professional, caring and highly competent. Everything was explained well and the operations went without a hitch. My vision was excellent the next day after each operation.
I would highly recommend Dr Chen and his team (at both Chatswood and Drummoyne) to anyone needing cataracts removed.
