Useless Doctor, he use to work in Trans Canada medical centre, now from 2nd Jan moved to NW Calgary opening his own Clinic.
I was seeing him for last 5 Year as my GP since he join this clinic as Trainee.
He try to be friendly but you can easily understand he got no sympathy with you.
He did get Irritate with you if you ask any question.
Me and my husband in late 50 , and I am happy he no more my family Doctor. I do not know how these people get Licence to practice in Canada. Why cant our government open more Medical college and create Doctor within country , I am not Raciest , Do not mind if Doctor is Black, White, Brown but only want him or her to studied in Canada so they can understand Canadian Ethics.

Dr. Hassan was at first very friendly as I Identified myself as a Muslim when I was still a walk-in patient. When he officially became my family doctor, everything changed. I booked an appointment with him for 11:30 AM so that I can go for lunch with my wife in a nearby restaurant after that appointment. (I am a brittle diabetic). I had to wait for an hour in the waiting room and I found out after checking the walk-in and appointment sheets, the office staff were sending the walk-in patients first claiming that they are short of doctors. When they noticed that I was becoming restless as I was starting to have hypoglycemic reaction, they sent me in. While I was already in at the treatment room, I had to wait again and my blood sugar continued to drop. I tried to tell the staff about my condition but the staff just turned her back on me ignoring my concerns. I guess that I closed the treatment door harder than I intended to and I suspect that the staff told him about my restlessness and escalating frustrations. When he finally came in, I tried to tell him about my concerns but he rudely told me that he will only talk about my health concerns. I reminded him that I am not only suffering from severe diabetes but also suffering from anxiety disorder and PTSD in which the mental health community refused call it at that. I also pointed out to him that it is clinically irresponsible for the staff to ignore my concerns for their convenience instead of reporting it to the doctor ASAP. I had to go to another doctor because he did not even took action about the attitude of the staff; 1) for giving priority to the walk-ins to lure them to become their regular patients, 2) by ignoring concerns voiced by the patients for their convenience for not dealing with health issues vs. luring patients to get them their permanent patients.

Worst clinic the girls are not helpful at all and really rude!! And dr Hassan is unbelievably rude himself. Since my work schedule is complicating I was unable to follow through with a referral he gave me to see a physiologist. As her hours were 10-6 and mine were as well. When I was finally able to see the physc. I called, they told me I'd need to get a new referral from my family doctor. So I went back to dr. Hassan and he told me that if I didn't follow through with the new referral. He didn't want to see me as a patient anymore. Why?! Because your no getting paid or what? I thought that was discriminating very uncalled for and rude. All because of a referral. He doesn't not take the time with his patients. You'll constantly find yourself repeating your issues and concerns. Since he has a very short term memory. There are better doctors.

I am happy to say that booking an appointment was extremely easy & prompt over the phone. Only once did I receive a message that all lines where busy & to call back. I called back immediately & got through right away. I found the staff to be friendly & knowledgeable both on the phone & in person. I found Dr Shabbir Hassan to also be friendly & knowledgeable. Very focused on what you have to say & to make sure the information is documented. Very impressed. His English is very good

I find I can rarely get through to the reception and when I do I'm often put on hold for ridiculous amounts of time. I was suppose to be referred to a specialist and his staff 'forgot' to do it...I ended up waiting six months! Dr. Hassan himself is great. He listens to my concerns and offers a few options that I can choose from. His appointments are on time and he is very knowledgeable!
