I felt like this was a total waste of time. Didn't check all my concerns.

I should have left this review immediately after my experience with Dr Cowger, but I opted not to. After now meeting with other Dermatologists, I now know what a “good” experience should be like.


Firstly, I waited over 7 months for my phone appointment with Dr Cowger. I confirmed the morning of my appointment via email with his office that this appointment was still happening, in which they replied yes. I had even taken off half a day of work to take this phone call as my issue that I wanted to discuss was very important. Time comes and I get no phone call… I waited all day to eventually get an email at 5PM from his office saying that “something happened” (they did not even specify) and that’s why my appointment was missed! So unprofessional!

I rescheduled for a 2nd phone call appointment, in which he was late again (over 1.5 hrs late).

My third appointment he saw me in-person. He spoke to me for a total of 8-10 minutes. I felt like my entire issue was brushed aside and was not taken seriously. I could not believe I waited (at this point) over 8 months for essentially nothing. I was not given any guidance on my issue.

I would not return to see Dr Cowger ever again, as it seems like he has little respect for his patients time. Looking at the other reviews here, it seems like this is a common issue.

He is always behind, even if your appointment is first thing in the morning. It is not fair for patients to seat on his waiting room for a minimum of an hour. It is ALWAYS the same. Please manage your appointments better.
He is knowledgeable.

My husband has suffered many years with his skin condition and this doctor has exceeded in doing his job . He has finally gotten relief We are both very great full for this doctor and would return without hesition !

Staff and Doctor are Amazing. Dr. Cowger is very patient, kind and explains everything he's doing. Always asking if you're ok. He did such a great job I don't have to go back :)

I was seen by the nurse shortly after I arrived. She did a health history and listened to my comments. Shortly after the nurse left Dr Cowger arrived. He reviewed the nurse's notes, asked questions and listened attentively than examined my hair and suggested products to try and to return in 4 mos but to call if i had questions.

After reading the bad reviews I was a bit nervous to go today . However I was pleasantly surprised. The office staff and nurse were very friendly and kind. Dr Cowger himself was also personable. He listened, examined, offered advice and didn’t rush me. My wait time was quite short but even they admit that is very unusual so I can only comment on my personal experience today. I would recommend him.

My Mom saw Dr. Cowger in London, Ontario and we had a wonderful experience with him. He was knowledgable and took the time to explain things thoroughly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or to go and see him myself should the need arise!

My family Doctor referred me to Doctor Cowger (London Ontario) for confirmation and surgical referral of possible cancer on my nose. Waited three and a half months for a ten minute appointment. Scrubbed and viewed area, said it was cancer, either BCC or SCC, not sure. Told me I would have a large scar (subjective) and a skin graft from my neck. Would refer me to surgeon. DID NOT TAKE A BIOPSY!!! Another three month wait for surgery, but due to NO BIOPSY RESULTS in file surgery had to be postponed. Biopsies taken that day by (fantastic) surgeon, but now I have to wait four to six weeks for results and then get another surgery date. If Cowger had done his job properly I would be through surgery and recovering now. Very unhappy. A biopsy is a basic function for surgical referral (I now know).

Doctors who cant make it as an General Practitioner or higher become a dermatologist. Jeffery is that guy, i would go to no doctor before i went to him every again. He is another doctor who does not listen to his patients, and you shouldnt listen to him.
