I recently had c5 c6 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion to relieve pressure on my spinal cord Ching numbness on my right side. When I woke up from the surgery the numbness was gone. I agree he is not the most personable person out there but is that what you want when picking a surgeon? I would recommend.

Dr R. Moulton, is a great neurosurgeon, lot of knowledge, he his a kind surgeon, has smile to give confidence to anyone. After 15 months on a waiting list with another surgeon ,just to be told that he couldn't do my surgery that was giving me horrible pain, could hardly walk anymore, was transfeedr to Dr. Moulton and 3 months later had that surgery, in my spine and under the spine. Now 10 months down the road, I'm doing very well, no pain no limping, I can even dance. I am so thankful you gave me back my life, thanks to your staff ,

also the nurses in the R.R, they were all angels to me.

I found Dr Moulton very friendly and helpful. He made me feel comfortable and answered my questions. He diagnosed my problem, the first diagnosis I had in four months of pain. He has said that he will be happy to see me again if required.

He is an incredibly accomplished neurosurgeon, though he's not chatty if that's what you're looking for. He performed a lambinectomy on my mom and was courteous and kind when I spoke to him. He doesn't mince words, and doesn't have time or patience for lengthy explanations. I suggest informing yourself of your surgery before and asking him specific questions. He might act like he knows more than you, because he most definitely does. I will update again once my mom is fully healed but I left her in his care with complete confidence.

I am thoroughly unimpressed with Dr Moulten. I was referred to him for my constant headaches, where we agreed to have ICP monitoring done to see if I had high pressure. Sure, the surgery went fine, but he was rude and uninformative through the whole experience. I saw him for 1 minute the morning after having the catheter inserted and he didn't even acknowledge me laying in the bed. And just today at my followup appointment, he didn't even give me the courtesy of sitting down to discuss the results. He stood at the door, leaning against it with a hand on his hip the whole time.
I feel like the last few months have been such a waste of my time. But more importantly, apparently, a waste of his time.

I was diagnosed at the Cornwall ON community hospital on Thursday with a lesion in the frontal lobe from a cat scan they sent me to the civic hospital by ambulance where I saw Dr Moulton briefly he was all business not very talkative but very efficient after an MRI on Friday morning his assistant Dr Diana Ghinda came to see me with other students and explained all the details. Now she was very compassionate and helped me understand what needed to take place. She explained to me that these types of tumours are very operable and the level of success that they have is very high. I was scheduled to have the operation on Wednesday afternoon, on Tuesday morning Dr Moulton came to see me saying he had 3 operations scheduled on Wednesday and would need to bump 1 or if I did not mind he could do the operation on Tuesday afternoon, he did and as I am typing this I still can!t believe that I was on my way home by Friday 2:00PM I am recovering well even if Dr Moulton is not the talkative type he is a true professional and knows what he is doing. Sometimes in life all you need to do is trust in someone who knows more then you do and I would suggest you trust Dr Moulton as a neurosurgeon.

Also seen Doctor Moulton very disappointed in his very rude treatment. When I first met him he had the audacity to tell me I was faking. He did end up up operating on me replacing a upper disc .Spent 12 weeks in a hard collar and another 4 weeks in a soft collar..Some faking ??? When I went for check up I asked why my lower back was not any better he rudely said sometimes that is just the way it is .And basically I had to live with it and walked out out.i just guess when they get to the point of being so important they really don't give a hoot how you feel your just a number, I just wonder how they sleep at night when they out out like that knowing maybe they could have had heart and done a little more!!!!! Would I recommend this doctor definitely NOT!!!!

After having this guy for my second neurosurgery, I would look for a warmer more courteous. doctor. It is a stressful time and you do not need to feel unimportant which is how he can make you feel. Clinic staff and especially his secretary are excellent!

Dr. Moulton reliably followed me after operating on my spinal cord. He is rather abrupt and clipped in answering questions, but informative and straight-forward. He is not warm and 'fuzzy' but he did acknowledge my husband and phoned him as promised as soon as the surgery was over. I felt confident in his care; all but one of the nurses in the clinic were exceptional in their care, listening to my concerns and acting effectively to have my needs met.
