I had a colonoscopy a few days ago by Dr. Sarin at North York General. Very nice doctor and staff. Procedure was quick and smooth. Dr. Sarin came into recovery room to tell me results within a few minutes. Pleasant experience.

I was sent to Dr. Sarin by my GP for a colonoscopy. I found him kind, respectful and knowledgeable. Dr. Sarin's team was beyond amazing. Dr. Sarin was by my bed within five minutes of waking up.

A few months ago Dr. Sarin performed both scopes. When I awoke he was right there to tell me results and to make suggestions. Since then Dr. Sarin has been faithful to make follow up calls discussing how I was doing and what changes I felt helped and what didn't help. At times I felt I was going to have to live with a nasty issue but he always encourages me with good advice. At no time was he in a hurry or too busy to answer my many questions. Often when one is a senior some doctors just brush you off lacking empathy for a medical issue or just plain respect of a frightened senior. I'm pleased to recommend Dr. Nitin Sarin to anyone who requires the help of a Gastroenterologist.

Dr. Sarin had been treating me for cirrhosis of the liver. The staff have no consideration for the patients. On my second visit, the secretary told me immediately to wait at the counter while she did something on the computer. Then she started talking to another secretary about how she was checking her online baking and her mortgage payment was late. She shouldn't be doing personal things during her work hours. Dr. Sarin had cancelled many appointments because he was on vacation and I was told he basically takes the entire summer off. Punctuality does not exist...every appointment I have had to wait at least 30 min before I was seen. Dr. Sarin has failed to follow up with me and I have never been contacted for 18 months now. I am now going to have to find another Gastroenterologist as he and the staff don't seem to care about his patients.

Dr Nitin Sarin did a gastroscopy to burn polyps in my wife’s stomach. During the procedure he left her bleeding inside her stomach. We only found this out after she was in a ton of pain and went to the emergency. She’s been hospitalized for 4 days, has had to receive a blood transfusion and another doctor had to go back in and stop the bleeding. We’ve had a terrible experience following his procedure, which the hospital confirmed it was because of his poor work.

Dr. Sarin performed a colonoscopy on my 80+ year old Mom about 2 years ago. His knowledge and personal-skills before, during and after the procedure (done at NYGH) were excellent. He patiently and clearly explained everything to us so that we can make an informed decision. Great doctor. Nice, clean, bright well-run office.

Dr. Sarin saw my dad at emergency during Covid. I had to fight to accompany my dad who has advanced dementia. The doctor found his stomach and colon cancer and even gave him IV iron to prolong his life. Good doctor, bad news.

I had an abdominal surgery back in 2017 and it was at NYG. The staff gave me high potency pain killers to be taken orally and it hurted my stomach so bad that i had to report back only a week after my surgery. The emergency staff thought i had a bowel obstruction which was not the case and i owe that to the diagnosis and care of Dr Sarin. So thorough he was. He did endoscopy and we found out that inflamation caused by pain killers was the reason i was in extreme pain. He also discovered though biopsy that i have celiac disease which i was totally unaware of. He is a gem. Very caring and patient oriented. Highly recommended.
