This is absolutely one of the best Gastroenterologist Doctors in the City of Toronto that I have ever seen in our pure Canadian Public Health Care System. From my Family Doctors referral to the actual Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy procedure on February 2, 2024 it only took a full 2 months to get everything done. That is awesome. Dr. Stephen Taylor and his team were excellent from the nurses to the Anesthesiologist who was very gentle in putting the IV in my vein for the sedation since I'm sensitive to needles. Their customer service staff at the Toronto Endoscopy Clinic were excellent too. After the procedure was done, Dr. Stephen Taylor spoke to my mother and I and he answered all of my questions including my very rare Epstein Barr Virus Herpes infection too. He is very professional and a cool guy too. He also told me that instead of the traditional process where the patient has to have a first time consultation, blood work etc and then book the colonoscopy after a few months, he said that takes too long so he is very smart to do all of the required stuff on a first time visit seeing the patient. He really gets to the point which I really love and respect about him. I chose him originally because of his name I knew this would be an excellent choice. The only thing I didn't like was the bowel prep and the laxatives sitting on the toilet before the day of the procedure but it's to be expected though. If you need an excellent professional gastroenterologist, please go to him you won't be disappointed.

Very Thorough, Reassuring and Kind. Goes over and beyond for his patients. Always feel safe and never feel like I have to overly advocate for myself, I feel seen and heard.

The receptionist on the phone was extremely kind, respectful and listened to every detail I said to her. I held an expectation that my appointment would be similar, but I stand corrected. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel truly seen or heard by dr. Taylor. Rather, I felt m like I was being sold a test to confirm speculations. I immediately felt put off and it made me lose trust on the accuracy of the information conveyed to me and whether my best interest was truly being considered. I had requested a referral to this doctor specifically because of the positive reviews here but I’m sorry I booked it.

I had two procedures with Dr. taylor, he is really knowledgeable and took care of whole process of my issue in both before and after procedure! He remembers very well of the issue and so helpful for that!
As My experience in Canada, he is the one that I recommend to everyone! Try to get the appointment with him!

Dr. Taylor is very knowledgeable doctor. On the first visit with him he already read my file and knows what my issues are. He has taken the time to read and understand my gastrointestinal condition. Dr. Taylor has a great calming bed side manor and shows that he is very interested in my health. He has set up some genetic tests so that he can try to further understand my medical issues. I found him to be a very caring doctor and look forward to more visits with him.
