Ratings for Dr. Hatem Al-Rubaiy
Various appointments at Herongate Dental.
I don't remember any MASSIVE wait times..
Billing issues: SIMPLE extractions, as per the ODA guidelines billed as complex extractions. (Don't worry, insurance will cover it)... (again, cash client, with limited work insurance, already used up)
Staff was NOT helpful in providing the billing codes to me (Outright refused to, after multiple attempts to get).
Multiple filling issues, needing to be re-done.
One case, where fillings being re-done, were billed with more surfaces than were touched in the process.
Not to be trusted, ESPECIALLY when it comes to billing.
Dropping his knowledge low, as he apparently doesn't know how to count, or to follow the ODA's guide.

I am pleased with Dr Al Rubaiy and his assistant Michelle. I just moved back to Ottawa and had a loose wisdom tooth. He was calm and efficient and excellent with the freezing process. Michelle told me what to expect and was spot on. They are a good team and I’m now their newest patient.

I strongly disagree with any hateful comments about Dr. Hatem. He is a passionate, nice, and considerate person. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist and already have to all my friends and family. Great Doctor!

This doctor is one of the worst doctors I've ever met. Inconsiderate and rude. Cuts you off when you speak and treats you horribly. I would never recommend him. He spends no time with you and is only worried about making money. Don't EVER go to hin

My visit was in 2019. While he fixed my cavity quickly and painless ( under anesthesia ) he failed to bring up an obvious issue that would affect my teeth long term. Specifically - the X-rays he took were very explicit in showing an active paradontopathy ( visible bone loss) . My current dentist was in disbelief that he didn't flag that condition. Now, few years later, it's a lot more difficult to address this issue...
