Dr. Andie is a magician! I first saw her 2.5 years ago with excruciating ankle pain that deformed my foot, and to my embarrassment, at the time I was an extremely active 22-year old needing to walk with a cane. Within a year, she performed two surgeries, sent me for rigorous rehab, and I returned to sport with absolutely no pain. I’ve had multiple sport-related injuries requiring surgery, and with certainty, Andie is the physician that I have trusted most; I highly respect(ed) her advice and opinion. Dr. Andie’s relocation to Vancouver should not undermine the quality of care she provided (or continues to provide) her Toronto patients, her expertise, character, or her generosity. I know she will continue to provide the best care to her patients near and far.

I was seen by Dr. Andie for a disabling shoulder problem. I thought her knowledge and professional manner were impeccable. I have not met another doctor who cared more for her patients. I am finally able to get back to playing waterpolo.

I have to say that I agree with the last patient. It's like they look at us when someone is on disability and decide before they even start the appointment that we are worthless.

So pysio therapist didn't like what I said, yes I'm frustrated by Drs. they all seem useless to me coming up on six years (not working thx) since my injury still waiting for real care...the last pysio therapist I saw actually said 'what else do you want from me' nothing I guess but at least I have a little life insurance as disability benefits end soon so ...yes she left me high and dry, broke and broken...I could go on but what's the point... no $ for trips west... just another peon here... and Wynn creating a patient ombudsman another waste of $ wish someone would give me $ ...and the new guy can't guarantee pain relief with amputation... terrific 😢

Dr Veljkovic was a great first surgery experience for me. I dislocated and broke my knee cap and she had booked me in for surgery within a few days. She is very confident in herself and it allowed me to put complete faith in her. I have healed great and feel completely back to normal now. She is extremely caring and lovely but doesn't sugar coat at all. I highly respect her.

Dr andy is awesome i had a foot fracture and she helped me a great deal explaining what would be needed for healing and was wonderful with follow up.This is the 1st doc that I have ever seen who was so very genuine and caring an exceptional person

I have only seen Dr. V for 2 visits so far and both times I've felt like this doctor seems like an exceptional person and very knowledgeable in her trade. She is positive thinking person that also gives strong compliments to people when they are due. I have referred to cutting my toe off as a solution and she said, NO I will not do that. I look forward to having my foot reconstructed by Dr. V and being pain free. Jason

I just read this review too and I am surprised at what I am hearing. Before you go and get your foot removed I would reach out to to her and she see what she says. I have never met a doctor who is more professional, straight forward (always tell you the truth) and empathetic as her. I have had two surgeries done by herand am waiting on my third. If it weren't for her and the physiotherapists I have seen I would not be in the place I am today. Andrea is not the type of person to drop someone like that. You can contact her at her office in BC. She is a remarkable lady and I know she will do everything she can to correct the situation you are in. In fact I have had several surgeries throughout my life and and not one doctor comes even close to her expertise. Foot removal is serious and you need a second opinion. You have every right to demand one . I hope you can get your problem solved but in the mean time I suggest reaching out to Dr. V and expressing your concern because I know she will get things straightened out. I am sorry you have had the trouble. I have suffered since she has left, but I PROMISE YOU that if you call her in BC she will get this sorted out.

I agree with the last point. BC is very lucky to have suck a skilled surgeon. There is honestly in my opinion like her. She is a professional and will always be. So please do not let this one negative review scare you away. She doesn't
have any other reviews less than four stars. She has just recently been voted one of the top surgeons in the country. Please give her a chance as I guarantee she will change your wife!!! Miracle worker!

I just noticed a recent review posted regarding Dr. Veljkovic's moving from Toronto to Vancouver. I am a physiotherapist in Toronto and I regularly referred patients to Dr. Veljkovic here. My experience was that they were seen in a timely manner and were treated with expertise. I have witnessed patients waiting one to two years to see a foot and ankle specialist so I was really disappointed when she moved to Vancouver. I did see that all of her patients were referred to other orthopaedic surgeons in the Toronto area. I actually had a few patients who opted to fly to Vancouver for continuation of their care and they are doing fantastically post surgery. I'm sorry to read the post from a frustrated patient but it would be wrong for others to believe that Dr. Veljkovic was anything less than professional, expert, caring, and a leader in her field. Vancouver is very fortunate to have her!
