De Veljkovic perform the surgery on my left knee and I am pain free and feeling great after a several years of suffering, also prior to my knee problem Dr Veljkovic helped me overcome my ankle problems with simple solution which did not require surgery.
Thanks Dr Veljkovic for her great work.

Hand of an artist. Incredible incisions so fine almost no scar, and unbelievably tight stitches, never seen anything like it! When I look at the surgery, all I think is "Harvard for sure!!"

Unfortunate I had a very bad experience with Dr Veljkovic. Not only did she misdiagnose me and recommend a procedure that not only have zero chance of helping me but has made my condition sooooo much worse.
I saw Dr V as I wanted a second opinion from a previous surgery that I had.
I had torn my Achilles and after a successful reconnection was having pain on my heal bone where there were drill hole made to anchor the sutures.
Dr V recommend Gaston recession which is a lengthening of the calf muscle which has nothing to do with the bone pain in my heal bone. On my day of surgery I did not want to go through with the procedure as I was unclear if it could help but she assured me it would and that was a decision I will regret for the rest of my life. During the gastroc recession she damaged the nerve in my leg , which is quite common and also said she was very aggressive in the lengthening procedures. I went home with instruction that I was fully weight bearing and to begin mobility excersises right away. Again horrible advise. I was in excruciating pain and could not put weight on it for weeks and when I did I think the recession was so big the scar tissue started to build up so great throughout my entire achilles tendon. Her surgery was basically like someone cutting across my upper achilles tendon. I had another surgery to debride some of the scar tissue but I now live in tremendous pain and still suffer from pain in the drill holes in my heal.
I had a a follow up appointment and she said I was not a candidate for any more surgeries and sent on my way. I made another appt but it was cancelled and never heard from her again.
I don't believe she is a bad person or bad surgeon but she clearly misdiagnosed me and performed a procedure I did not want or need and gave me horrible aftercare instructions.
Please before you take any surgeons advice to the research yourself and thrust your gut.

I truly do not know how to express my gratitude for Dr. Andy. Thirty years ago I was run over by a dumptruck and sustained a crushed right foot. Dr. Clarke my original surgeon was young, competent, and preformed numerous surgery's to avoid amputation. He told me I would alway's live a life of pain and would use a cane. Over the years, he was right.. I have had numerous surgery's, with different surgeons , complications, a lot of pain and its been tough to say the least. It wears you out eventually and robs you of life if you let it. I didn't have any intentions of seeing Dr Andy the day we met. In fact she was filling in for doctor I had an appointment with just for the day. The moment she read my chart she told me that she had mentored under Dr. Clarke who was now retired. I knew I was in good hands, because he was an orthopaedic genius in his day. I immediately liked Dr. Andy, her manner, expertise, and brilliance shone through...She didn't jump the gun and suggest surgery immediately, she said she needed to monitor me and do a series of testing before she would come up with a plan and that may take a year or so. I was patient and went through her tests, some where painful, and others not so much, but in the end she formulated a great plan. I have had three surgery's with her to date and I am close to being normal again. Dr. Andy is one of the most intelligent , next level forward thinking orthopaedic surgeons in North America. I trust her with every fibre of my being. She has a beautiful disposition, friendly, loving, compassionate, funny and humble. She doesn't believe in suffering and goes beyond to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable speedy recovery. I finally feel as though there is light at the end of my dark tunnel, and I know I am with the very best . She is a gift, and I thank God everyday for her brilliant mind, kind heart and skillful hands. Definitely worth the wait for anyone thinking of having ankle, foot surgery. She gave me back my life.... I am so happy she landed in Vancouver a few years back. There are not enough stars to rate this doctor!

She was the sixth doctor that I saw, when the others had all but written me off as they couldn't figure out the problem. I was lucky my timing worked out as she was only just moving to Toronto so I had to wait a month until she started working at Toronto western. She gave me a diagnosis that first day and we ended up deciding on surgery 4 weeks later after Physio wasn't getting results.

Almost four years later and my ankle is giving me issues again and I'm prepared to follow her to Vancouver as I lost my faith in the other surgeons at Toronto western.
