Non-judgmental, soft spoken, explains everything, and doesn’t make you feel like you are imagining things. I saw Dr Akhavan last year and again this, every time she has done a complete assessment and asked lots of questions. She allows me time to ask questions and doesn’t make me feel rush..
Her receptionist is amazing very friendly and competent. New offices is also easy to find, right outside the subway.

I got to visit her after a few disappointments with my previous doctors. She is an excellent doctor and is very caring and knowledgable.

Wow, very disappointing.
The doctor's tone was very unkind and her behaviour was super dismissive and unprofessional. She looks down her nose at people and that was widely inappropriate and unacceptable.
I could immediately feel the tension once she entered and was present in the room while being examined by other doctor. Doctor you don’t need to have so much attitude and talk down to people especially your patients for no reason.

She has been my specialist for over a decade , she is quite knowledgable and is very professional. She has helped me live my normal life despite my difficult disease. She is an expert in the field of rheumatoid arthritis. I highly recommend her to anyone.

I’ve been seeing her for over a year now and until this day she wasn’t able to diagnose my disease or find a solution to treat it! All she does is prescribing Cortisone every single time that I complain about my pains! She always makes her patients wait for at least 40 minutes and deosn’t care about other’s times! I would seek another Dr if the wait time wasn’t that crazy.

Dr. Akhavan totally disregards your concerns and complaints. It appears that now that she has a name, her quality of practice is declining. Her new assistant is absolutely useless. Bibi was the best and nobody can replace her quality of work.

Something about Dr. Akhavan has changed. She went from being a great doctor to an uncaring and useless one. She is selective in whom she helps. She does not listen to you and ignores your symptoms. She has a new assistant who is incompetent at best. She does not offer up all medical options but options that she wants you to have. So you can get worse and she does not care. Please read all the reviews and see how people are starting to speak the same things about her. This is no coincidence and a huge red flag!

Dr.A is the BEST! She listens, she's empathetic, and she nailed what was going on with me instantly. I totally trust her and her staff. She is excellent and I wouldn't have any other rheumatologist.

In short, Sho doesn't care about patients. And always there is a problem accessing her as your doctor.
