I don’t know what happened to this doctor… he used to be decent but now it’s gone to full blown negligence. Somehow every three months I need to go through an entire spectacle to get my prescription refills for medication I’ve taken every day for three-four years. He is NEVER in the office and it takes an hour to get through to the receptionist every single time you call. I will end up waiting over a week for them to answer my pharmacy only for them to only send 2-3 months. If I don’t want to wait weeks for their response I have to call the receptionist numerous times for her to tell me he isn’t there and there’s nothing she can do. No other doctor can answer refills and he is NEVERRRRR THEREEEE. I have had appointments with him stating he needs to send my refills and he agreed only for him to continue this every single time. I have wasted so many hours of my life just to get prescription refills for something I take every day! Not to mention is super dangerous to leave someone without their meds for a week because you can’t answer faxes….?

Dr. Shukla is our Family GP. He is very patient and compassionate with his patients. He is very knowledgeable and is able to connect us with specialists very quickly which is a huge advantage. We consider ourselves to be very lucky to have him and the WCH Family team at our service.

Dr. Shukla has been my family doctor for a few years, and he is the best doctor I have ever had. He is kind, compassionate and always listens to my problems. He is easy to talk to, and I feel comfortable speaking honestly with him. He can always refer me to a specialist if he feels they could help me better than he could, which I really appreciate. He is the best!

Dr. Shukla has been my family doctor for years. It is very hard to get an appointment with him but when I do, it is worth it. He never makes me feel rushed, answers all of my questions, and is always willing to investigate further and send me for testing if necessary. He is very kind and always listens.

He's a GP at women's college, and refused to do a pelvic exam during my four visits over ten years, finally stating the last time that he doesn't "get paid to do a pelvic exam anymore" so he just decides not to do them. I had to go to a walk-in clinic to get the pelvic exam done.

Dr. Shukla is a wonderful Dr. People need to realize that every patient has different needs which sometimes require more time. You must realize that if you ever needed extra time, Dr. Shukla would be more than glad to help you out. Jane, his admin, is very helpful. Dr. Shukla is very caring, understanding, professional, and is aware of personal space even during an exam. There are always going to be people you cannot please, but know that you are not the only patient a doctor will see in a day. And yes your time will always be considered valuable with Dr. Shukla.

I can’t comment on anything other than his punctuality as I left my appointment before seeing him. I waited 45 minutes which was absolutely ridiculous. I spent my time and money and missed a class for this appointment which was for nothing. I’m sorry, but if you’re running behind, please have the courtesy to inform your patients prior to their appointments — their time is just as valuable as yours.
