Years ago I saw Dr. Benjamin as a young teen struggling with the death of my mother and severe anxiety. She told me to stop fidgeting in her office, suggested my grandmother "drag [me] by the hair to school," and blamed me for my lack of anxiety coping skills at the age of 12/13. She spoke very unprofessionally, specifically in a rude, opinionated way (outside of medical opinions). I do not recommend her, she was the worst doctor I've ever experienced. Her staff were very nice, however.

Knowledgeable kind and wants best for her patients. Honest with you to iwn your own health. Not sure why there are such negative comments unless people wanted her to rescue them and not do the work. The Oct 2015 comment is odd bc Dr B didn’t work in 2005-2006 because she was on mat leave. Maybe wrong dr. I like Dr B. Know her for years.

Dr Benjamin is an amazing human inside out i love how she speaks to my child and approaches me about my wrongs and right doings i really enjoy this doctor i highly suggest. :D

This women was one of my absolute worst experiences through my mental health journey. I saw her as a child & again in my teen years, & the way she treated not only myself & my mother was very unprofessional. I was dealing with self harm at the time in which she forced me without choice to roll up my sleeves in front of my family which was extremely uncomfortable & hurtful for myself & them. She implemented her own religious views & gave my mom a hard time for putting me on birth control as a teen which had absolutely nothing to do with her. She demonized me for what I was going through & did not offer any substantial help & in term left me frustrated & resentful. The only reason I stayed with her was because it was the only doctor my mom was able to find for me at the time. Save yourself some time & trauma & please do not use Dr. Benjamin Marcia’s services.

I’m almost 21, and when I saw Dr.B, I was only 15. She told me the simplest, yet most effective things that my anxiety-ridden brain was too scared to think of, and they made a world of a difference. In the (approximately) year I saw her, she changed my life and gave me the freedom I wanted so badly. I cannot thank her enough that to this day, I can walk into a crowded store without instantly feeling a huge knot in my stomach and constant, debilitating fear. If you have the opportunity to see her, you can rest assured that she’ll genuinely listen, give helpful feedback, and heck, it even feels like talking to a friend. Thank you, Dr.B❤️

I enjoyed the ability to fidget and be laid back in her office. I was needing to fux the relationship with my parents. She insists all parents come to appointments and everyone has stuff to work on. It was nice not to be the black sheep or blamed, instead everyone owed a piece of the work to get pir family back together. I highly tecommend Dr B. Shes practical, caring listens and ensures you have simple tasks to get to mental health Thanks Dr B!

Dr. Benjamin is one of the most dedicated and caring people in this field. She cares deeply for her patients, and ensures they are provided with the resources they need to heal and move forward with their lives. She can make you smile even in the darkest of times and supports you every step of the way--so long as you follow recommendations, which are easy to understand and effective when you follow them through. Dr. Benjamin has given me a new lease on life. She helped me when no one else would, cared for me when there was no one else to care for me, and guided me through healing in a supportive, constant, and comforting way. I owe my life to Dr. Benjamin, and would recommend her to any child and adolescent that needs her services. She is rare, and anyone is beyond blessed to have her knowledge and expertise.

Extremely helpful. Nice to have a doctor who is real with kids my age and not just sit there and then send you off with a prescription. I really appreciate her caring and that my safety and well being is always first.

She is an absolutely TERRIBLE doctor lacking in compassion, knowledge, or real understanding of the work she does. I recommend that everyone stays clear of her. I went to her ten years ago as a young teen in crisis and she actively blamed me for the situations I was dealing with. I was a child seeking help, and she put all of the responsibility on me. She challenged me on my propensity for depression and suicidal feelings, and then told me she didn't see any issue that she felt was worth revisiting, so she would not be recommending that I continue with any further counselling. And this was the doctor I had been referred to after seeking help with depression for two years prior. What a joke. I had literally just told her that I was feeling overwhelmed and suicidal, tried to discuss situations of ongoing and previous abuse (and again, this is coming from a 14 year old, so there are actual regulations and laws that require her to take that more seriously) and she ignored me and told me it was all my fault. I saw this doctor only once I believe, but that was enough. I ended up in the hospital the very next day - which I know is my own doing and not hers - but the fact that a person like her is entrusted with aiding vulnerable people seeking mental health help completely baffles me. This is the kind of experience that sticks with a person and can really alter their perception and mental health. Especially at a young age. I am lucky that I was able to come back from this. Not everyone will be so fortunate. Do not entrust your care in this doctor's hands.
