Dr Forbes is amazing if I could give him a %1000 I would .The one thing I truly beleive is we need more surgeons like him .Cancer sucks and shows it self in so many people daily .We need more surgeons like Dr Forbes .He Cares his patients are not just another one in a line . Koodos to Dr Forbes highly recommended but like u tell him love to see his handsome face but we got to stop meet inglike this. .

Dr Forbes operated on me after a local Dr. put me off due to my advanced age --Dr Fores is an excellent Doctor and his team are amazing--Juravinski Hospital is the best hospital in the Niagara Penninsula --I couldn't have had better care all round----such kind, competent Nurses and Doctors who go beyond to give each patient the care they deserve while maintaining their pleasant personalities through all the stress of their hard work --The world would be a lot better is all Doctors were as accomplished and personable as Dr Forbes

I recently had a colonoscopy at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby performed by Dr. Forbes. I have had this procedure every 5 years since I turned 40 because my father had colon cancer. This was my 4th colonoscopy, the first one at WLMH. I was taken into the procedure room and was asked to roll onto my left side and bring my knees up towards my chest. Yes, I know the drill. However, the first thing that surprised me, which has never happened before, was when the nurse hiked up the blanket over my thighs exposing my naked behind. Although I realize this is completely routine for all the health professionals to see my bare butt, I felt quite exposed and embarrassed. Next, I heard the anesthesiologist say to the Dr. Forbes that he could not start until he "did X". What X was was inaudible to me. The next thing I knew was that I felt Dr. Forbes place his hand on my right buttocks cheek and lift it up, so as to (presumably) have a look. I am not sure what he was intending to do next. But my spontaneous reaction, which was total totally spontaneous because of my surprise, was to take my right hand and swipe his hand away as I waved my hand across my right thigh and down below my buttocks. At the same time I said quite loudly, "what the F are you doing???". Dr. Forbes said, "Pardon me?" I replied by saying, "you don't just grab someone's butt cheek and lift it up to have a look without giving them any warning that you are about to do so!". At which time he replied, "I was about to do that". I told him that was the wrong order since it would have been after the fact. The next thing I knew, I was waking up in recovery. In the three prior colonoscopies that I have had, I have never had my naked but exposed prior to being sedated. And no doctor or gastroenterologist has ever touched my butt to examine or do anything prior to me being sedated either. It was highly inappropriate for him to do so without advising me, as he was behind me and I could not even seem him approaching me to do so. I am a patient who appreciates being provided with some dignity and humility. I would not recommend this physician based on this behaviour. Also, the fact that the anesthesiologist gave him a warning signals to me that he wanted to, and tried to, start before he was supposed to do so. My family physician agreed this was not appropriate. I also have a brother who is a gastroenterologist in Kelowna who would support that this was not appropriate protocol. I do also know that the first patient for a "procedure" that morning was a no-show. Perhaps Dr. Forbes wanted to get on with his day. However, nothing excuses this inappropriate interaction.

Dr Forbes saved my life back in February of 2019, I've also had second surgery from him & he is the finest, most brilliant, caring surgeon ever!! I thank God each & everyday for placing me in Dr. Forbes hands & care & I'm also very thankful to Julie who goes above & beyond to accomadate my appointments. He's very clear when speaking & takes his time to listen to me & answer my questions. I'm just so very blessed it was Dr. Forbes weekend shift when I was admitted & again thank him each & everyday for saving my life. My family also appreciated him so very much. Great colon surgeon, but my 15th surgery did not go as well as any of my previous 14 surgeries because all of my disease is located in my small intestine. Made me sign something to do more 5 minutes before surgery, left with permanent disabling pain.

In Oct. of 2015 I was diagnosed with colon cancer and assigned to Dr. Sean Forbes. I had a pre surgical meet and found him to be very comforting, professional and thorough. I asked him to be 100% honest with and, he was. During surgery it was determined that the cancer had spread and I was now stage 3A. Five years later, with his skill and guidance, I am now cured. A big thank you to a wonderful doctor and a special thank you to Julie, who was a great inspiration and assist during those five year. - Allan R.

I’ve had one unsuccessful surgery with another doctor and was sent to Doctor Forbes, personally I feel like he is a great doctor, before surgery he did multiple tests to make sure this time I have surgery, it would be successful, and it was!!!

After being released from St Joes in Hamilton because i had no fewer but a pain of 9/10. My wife suggested Jurvinski and the next day i had an emergency gall bladder removal. This doctor and staff were great. I have an upcoming surgery at St Joes, please pray for me.

Such an amazing physician! He is incredibly caring and willing to do whatever he needs to do to help. I would highly recommend him! He performed my total colectomy and I didn't doubt for one second that I was in the absolute best hands.
