I remember him when he first started at U of Toronto. It was a snowy night downtown toronto and the phone rang at a women's residence the women's temperance union on Gerard. The medical residence wanted some girls to go and the hard part was the snow was falling hard and we all knew we would end up in a snow bank between here and there, His Dad also a physician had tried to teach me chemistry so I could become a nurse. His Dad was a company Dr at the time of a tornado in Barrie, I had spoken to Ian at that time of a possible hospitalization Ian referred me to a lawyer. The diagnosis after a year of trying to find a Dr to treat was endometriosis. I wanted to say now at St. MIKE they think I work there. The only learning that I had was that of a 100 hour Candy Stripper and the scientistific teachings of his Dad. I remember I asked his Dad about euthanasia in confirmation class the united church. He replied he did not believe in it because there when times when he thought a patient was gone and would come back. You may think that Ian's time is gone but I think he will come back as we need teachers. Thinking of Ian and a wife June who got a 300 hour cap. If you allow Ian to come back in some capacity we will (those that failed) may try again.

I saw this Dr.P for 12 years. He was amazing for me. Dark times he was si kind and understanding. Helped me immensely. Cried for weeks when he retire. I wish him love peace and strength where his next journey takes him.

The clinic is not the same without you dr. P. None of the people who were there before are there now. You are all missed. You are the best doctor i have ever had. Because you cared, you would remember the things i had said at previous appointments, you listened to me. I don't usually like going to doctors and get quite anxious, but you took the anxiety away about it. Wish more doctors were like you. Thank you for everything. Your kindness is something i will remember.

Dr. P, you are so greatly missed. I think of all the wise words and advice you gave me quite often. I wish you would come back!! You are the best doctor i have ever had. Caring, compassionate, helpful, understanding....you were all these things and more. You are irreplaceable. Unfortunatly Lisa is no longer there either or Anna. Both those ladies are also greatly missed. What a great team you guys made and you created a pleasant enviroment for the patients. Thank you for everything Dr.P. I truly don't know how my life would have turned out without your help. You are truly an angel. Have a great retirement. You deserve it and have more than earned it. I will never forget the kindness and compassion that you showed me. Thank you a million times!!!

DR P it's Holly Halisky I just wanted to say I am sitting here balling my eyes out reading all the positive comments for you. SO many people miss you and Lisa the receptionist including me. Very much! You saved my life and I know I wasn't always an angel of a patient but I just wanted you to know now that your gone 😔 I'm coming off methadone and I'm doing great! 😊 Only 37mls to go!! Yayy and I'm back at act medical I'm sad your no longer there it really isn't the same without you but I wish nothing but bliss, happiness and love for whatever you do in the future Dr P! Thank you for everything you have done for me and countless others! Wish we could throw you a retirement party hehe so many people would attend I know that for sure😊 Much love and respect to you Dr P.

Dr P you were the best doctor I EVER have had in my struggles with mental health as well as with chronic pain that no one else believed I was suffering from. Since you retired ACT medical turned into a COMPLETE JOKE. The “secretary” is the rudest person to ever answer the phone at a doctors office and thinks she’s “in charge”. All of your old staff have been fired or quit (for good reason quitting... I wouldn’t want to work under these people). They then didn’t like it when I would try to advocate for myself and my mental and physical health and they FIRED ME AS A PATIENT!!!! I saw you for almost 4 years and the entire time my quality of life was perfect. If I had issues I knew I could call your office and get assistance almost immediately. Now I can’t find a doctor that will help me the way you did or even half the way you did. I useto walk into your office and you just knew what what’s up before I even explained it to you. I sure miss you. I wish you all the best and if you ever decide to practice medicine again I sure hope that the patients that are being screwed around by the money hungry doctors there now get the chance to see you again. I can’t express enough how much you helped me and my life In pain. You certainly are #1 still in my books. Happy Rwtirement. But still miss ya.

Dr. P, I hope you are well. The clinic is a nightmare now. The doctors and staff are terrible. They've fired everyone that was nice. Wish you could come back!
