This man desperately needs a psych assessment of his own, as it's more than obvious that he has a very little conscience or respect for the lives of those he works with and for. I do not recommend this pompous, misogynist, abusive and brutish doctor. He glides across the floor of the Peter Lougheed hospital like an overgrown fairy, while all other staff scurry. This is great for his frail ego. He regularly undermines the other doctors he works with and dominates everyone around him - staff and patients alike. He thoroughly enjoys working with vulnerable people and regularly abuses the power he has over them. His patients rarely return to the community as he doesn't acknowledge his failures with his choices of medication and refuses to listen to their concerns. Their hospital stays are very lengthy, and they almost always get transferred to a long-term care facility. He has been heard telling patients they are faking their sickness or calling them drug addicts. He also orders harmless and vulnerable patients around, as if they were dogs. He has ZERO respect for women and the intelligent they are, the more brutish he will be with them in his interactions with them. He prefers extremely vulnerable people that he can dominate. Sadly, there is no medication that can cure his own narcissistic and sociopathic tendencies...

I saw Dr.Keriem the summer of 2021 in the hospital. I was terrified when I came in. He was so kind and caring. He was so comforting he brought be through one of the worst times of my life. I wish I could see him regularly. I have nothing but good things to say about him.

In short, after 10 years of researching cultural and systemic abuse and corruption: A false narrative is required to perform an effective coverup. Along with coverups and false narratives - will come character assassination smear campaigns. Mental health professionals often utilize the psychiatric diagnostic labelling system to shift blame onto the psychopathology of victims who seek Psychiatric care - thereby providing numerous classic defense packages for perpetrators. (Note: This is especially true surrounding the so-called Personality Disorder Spectrum) which in reality, does not actually exist... All Personality Disorders can be seen alternatively as Complex PTSD with varying and adverse trauma reactions. Fight / Flight / Freeze / Fawn. Because victims of repeated crimes are likely to tell the truth, and because truth is often too detrimental for society, the Government enables Psychiatry to operate like Government lawyers who maintain control over the, "official narrative(s)." This often requires that Psychiatry suppress victims, truth speakers, potential litigants, whistleblowers, journalists, etc. In saying this, it is important to note that Psychiatrist's and the institutions in which they are employed, are not only guilty of covering up the truth and protecting perpetrators on the micro level - they also inadvertently earmark said victims for jail and psych ward and risk perpetuating intergenerational traumas, effectively normalizing abuse and injustice of all kinds on the macro level. When a victim comes forward with a true testimony - the false narrative (coverup) is often custom tailored to contradict / contrast the true narrative, but usually a false narrative requires a diagnosis to create synthetic logic points that aid the crafting of an ideal coverup and smear campaign. I've been seeing Dr. Keriem for over 5 years now and I must say that he is one of the most wonderful human beings on the planet. He's caring, observant, patient and most of all he really seems to know you. In the world we live in today . Dr Keriem stands tall, head and shoulders above many others in terms of remembering who you are , what problems you are facing and the quality of care he provides . He won’t always tell you want you “want to hear” , but you can bet that when that is the case, it is instead what you “needed to hear” and what you must hear for your own good . Asking for help is a difficult thing for most - especially in the case of a woman who has trust issues, like myself. I am an African Canadian who lived in Europe for many years before I moved to Canada. I became very depressed in my first year in Calgary so much that I started looking for ways to end my own life. This was how sad and messed up I had been. As a result, I was admitted for six weeks under his care in hospital. I can honestly say I felt safe during all my sessions with him, respected and recognised for who I am.
Dr Keriem also stands above the rest who I have met in regards to treating the whole person, regardless your gender or ethnicity. He will not just push medications or look to the most superficial of diagnoses - he will patiently listen. He knew the meds that worked perfectly well for me. He is always up on the latest trends, yet is conservative and careful with his approach. After I was discharged from hospital, I continued to see him as at his office, and I have grown so much since being in cognitive therapy and treatment with him . I am now excited instead of fearful about what the future holds for my life. I am confident , feeling appreciated and well cared for and treated truly like a human being. Continuing to see him, was truly one of the best decisions I've made for myself in my adult years .
PS. If I have any advice for future psychiatric patients of any doctor , it would be to approach psychiatric treatment and therapy realistically. In my humble opinion, it’s unrealistic to think that you would - or should - just “click” with a psychiatrist only because you wanted him or her to tell you what you “wanted to hear” . Well they aren’t your friends, rather they are your doctors & they have a job to do more so with some who have big attitudes. But you should at least begin feeling comfortable being honest with them at some point during those first few sessions - the ones outlining your general life/relationship history. Finally, this is my advice to some characters that I have met in hospital, If you can’t be honest about who you were & who you are, don’t expect miracles. Psychiatrists are not magicians, if you didn’t want to help yourself and be honest, how can they help you become the person you truly want to be?

I don’t give him a zero, because there’s no option for it. He belittles woman, doesn’t listen, and the nurses and staff are afraid of him . Avoid at all costs!
