When I first met Michael Bryant I didn’t like him. He was delivering really bad news and he didn’t beat about the bush. He told us that he wouldn’t sugar coat bad news because he would eventually have to deliver the truth. He operated on my husbands brain tumour and did an excellent job. We saw him every day for 2 weeks and found him to be very down to earth, relatable, hard working and fully committed to his patients health and comfort.
This man dropped everything for us when he saw my husbands file. The prognosis with no surgery was 3 mths, with surgery 9 mths - here we are at 13 mths and the chemo is holding the remaining tumour at bay. As far as we are concerned Michael is a magician. If you want a good job done look no further than this man

The prospect of the ACDF procedure was quite daunting, after 9 months of suffering, I couldn't be happier with my outcome. From the outset Dr Bryant was direct and didn't sugar coat my options, the procedure when smoothly and day two I was able to leave hospital with minimal pain, highly recommend Michael and his team.

I have been an appreciative patient , visiting with Dr Bryant in the past, and receiving his guidance on my small medical condition within my brain, for a few years originally, and then without any warning I've personally & suddenly had to reconsider, for the past 4 years, and rearrange our lifestyle up here, where my husband and I had moved from Canberra originally up to the Fraser Coast. I have been sadly & suddenly - seriously looking after my husband as his carer on a full time basis - throughout many seriously related medical conditions which he encountered, then ultimately and very quickly culminating early this year after my husband was suddenly diagnosed with Kidney Cancer - from which he quickly further suffered terribly & then died a very painful death a few months ago. Would it now please be possible for me to contact Dr Bryant at some time this year please and to make a new appointment, whereupon I could then arrange to drive down to the Sunshine Coast to see Dr Bryant as a patient again please. As I had been
been unable to travel to see Dr Bryant in recent years, having been on call up here for 24 hours a day with my husband Brian's situation. I have been very appreciative with Dr Bryant's care and advice with my small brain tumour associated problem in the past - and, I would now seek his guidance if I need to visit with his office again please. Many thanks, Therese Lee, PO Box 4069, Tinana, QLD 4650. Home Phone No. 4122 4609.

Zzz... short appointment and unhelpful. Only AFTER I spent $400 did he admit that he has never performed the surgery I require nor would he want to anyway. He will happily take your money but can't perform a quick two minute review to see if a new patient has a problem he wants to help with.

I have no doubt he's a great neurosurgeon but it doesn't leave a good feeling in your mouth when he doesn't cancel an appointment but takes your money knowing he can't help!

I just want to say that our experience with Dr Michael Bryant in recent weeks was nothing short of wonderful. My previously healthy, active 87 year old husband recently suffered a subdural haematoma. This was heralded by a mild headache that over a period of a few weeks became increasingly worse to the point where over one night it became excruciating.
Making a long story short - by the time my husband was in front of Michael the decision to operate was obvious even though there were serious risks involved. Personally, I felt I could lose him, and I was trying to deal with my own grief and remain stable and reassuring in front of my husband.
When they were wheeling my husband into surgery, I was choking back my fear when I heard Michael say to my husband “Never mind mate, you are mine now till I get you better.” I don’t know if the doctor knew just how wonderful his words sounded to me or my husband, but I immediately felt reassured.
As it turns out Michael did get my husband ‘better’… and not quite 5 weeks after the event I have him home again with me - and with all his faculties intact. I feel like God and Michael have given him back to me.

Quite simply, this man saved my life. When speaking to you, he is 100% listening to your every word, and concern.
Post surgery, any issues that may arise, he treat you almost like a member of his family. Ie: “Please keep me in the loop“, re-my surgery.I felt like I was almost talking about his surgery. I can rest assured he needs to know if anything is worrying me.
