Dr Redman operated on me in 1997 for a grade 3 Astrocytoma. Told me my life expectancy would be shortened but I’m still here. Thank you so much.

Dr Michael Redmond was my dear mother’s Neurosurgeon Sheila Louks from originally 40 years ago. My mum had three successful méningioma operations performed by Dr Redmond. Unfortunately a fourth tumour was diagnosed which was inoperable. My mum wanted to save her eyesight in the second eye so insisted on finding another surgeon as Dr Redmond advised too risky and inoperable. Knowing the risks mum was granted her wish to try and save her eyesight with another neurosurgeon which didn’t help and she sadly passed away 6 months later.
I am so grateful for everything he did and for his professionalism and kindness.
20 years ago I ended up in the Mater Hospital with a pinched nerve down my right leg. I was laying on a bed in the hallway when Dr Redmond walked past and said what are you doing here Dawn? I told him I hurt my back. He picked up my X-rays and said I’m taking you into surgery now. I can honestly say Dr Redmond saved the use of my right leg and I will be forever grateful to him.
Tonight I am in the Greenslopes hospital with a similar problem in my left leg.
My family and I we could not fault Dr Redmond or his secretary from all those years ago and will always be highly thought of and missed. Thank you so much Dr Redmond.

Dr Michael saved my life in 2003 when I had cryptococcal meningitis. Caring, kind, understanding & helpful. I am alive because of this dedicated surgeon. My life continues to be a struggle with disabilities & chronic medical & mental health issues, but I owe my survival to Dr Michael

Dr Redmond removed a pituitary tumour 30 years ago in November.
He was truly amazing in his interaction and explanation of my condition which was Cushings Disease.
I was in hospital for 5 days instead of the expected 10-14 days and had a smooth recovery. The after care was excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of him and will always be grateful for his care

I had an aneurysm and stroke on or about 9.10.1989. Dr. Redmond saved my life as it burst while I was in surgery. Life has been tough for me but I am grateful for his excellent work in saving my life. I recently needed an MRI and was told they won’t do it until I can identify the type and model number of aneurysm clip that was inserted in my brain. So if anyone can help me in that regard it would be appreciated so I can get further surgery on my left foot. Thank you Michele D’Arcy
