He has been my GI since 2009, hes the best I have ever had . Gets to know the person, treats the person not just the illness. For a friendly, personal
Dr. He can't be beat.

I’ve been under the care of Dr. Devlin for years now and I have found his professionalism, knowledgeable and genuine care for me as his patient is fantastic!
Giving time when needed and answering any questions I might have.
I highly recommend Dr. Devlin to anyone looking for a gastroenterologist in the Calgary area.

My son is handicapped and Dr Develin and his staff have always been polite and profressional to him a and myself. They listen to both of us and handle all concerns.
I find Dr Devlin to be right on top of all the most current and innovative as well as conservative tried and true treatment. Plus his clear explainations on his choice makes going forward easy.
My son understands and trusts Dr Devlin and once Dr Devlin has told him something it is his total guide.

Very good technically and he knows his field. I have also found him pleasant to deal with. However, to address the June 18th poster's question about why doctors push drugs rather than looking for the root causes of problems...it's what they are trained to do and the "tools" of their trade are largely drugs. I have a condition that is causing me ongoing discomfort and stress and Dr. Devlin's solution for me, too, was a prescription. (Drugs played a role in causing my problem in the first place.) I have now been to a naturopath who has helped me some (psyllium (found in All Bran) + water = glue) and will continue to seek answers elsewhere to my problem. I must say, though, that I was disappointed that Dr. Devlin didn't seem able? / interested in? working with me to figure out what is causing my problem and what solutions might exist.

I found this man to be very condescending and destrucrive. He treated my husband for several GI issues and prescribed very hard drugs. After cleaning up his diet and maling some life changes he has improved his health more than with the drugs. Why is it that doctor's only ever want to push drugs rather than find the root cause?

unfortunately I never had the chance to see this Doctor. I was referred to him by my GI specialist for a second opinion and he cancelled my appt stating that he had nothing to add to my case without even seeing me. This broke my heart and was super disappointing as I was really hoping for his expert opinion. Very disheartened at the entire situation after being shuffled from one Doctor to another for over a year with several conflicting diagnosis's.
