I had a previous psychiatrist and Dr Greenaway discarded his diagnosis. She tapered me off the drugs he’d prescribed. I finally started feeling better and now I don’t need medication or a psychiatrist. Someone suggested I seek a second opinion and suggested Dr Greenaway - it was good advice.

Compassionate and realistic psychiatrist, will tactfully tell you how things are without beating around the bush. A difficult task in the field.

I truly believe that Dr. Greenaway helped me save my own life as a struggling teenager. Like other reviews say, she is tough and can come off as intimidating, but she is very genuine in wanting to help. Dr. Greenaway is a fantastic doctor and I am thankful for how she has helped not only myself, but many other struggling youth in the lower mainland.

Staff is great; Lynn at front desk is amazing and excellent communicator. Dr. Greenaway is tough and direct and able to get to the heart of the situation without dancing around for hours on end. She is an amazing interviewer and questioner. If you're looking for a quick pill prescription, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I have seen Dr Greenaway for several years now. Love what I have learned about myself and how I process things and most importantly helped me to grow in my parenting and relationship skills. I was so broken five years ago and am finally seeing a less messed up approach to how I deal with the stuff!
She can be tough and points out where you are struggling but also is kind and compassionate! I’m sure I would have completely fallen apart by now if she wasn’t my psychiatrist! Thank you!

She is tough and makes you do the work. She is not a "pill pusher" - wants you to work for it for life long solutions. Medication if it is necessary. My son did unfortunately need medication but we worked hard to keep it minimal. Unfortunately by the sounds of a couple of comments they didn't like working hard. Dr. Greenaway will not waste your time, or hers for that matter, she will help you in any way, but you need to help yourself and put in the work. She is amazing and I know our family is forever grateful to her. Her knowledge is like no other.

Dr. Greenaway is the worst doctor I have ever seen. Throughout my time as her patient, I was accused of being a pill seeker (I have debilitating panic attacks) and it was implied I was faking all my symptoms for attention. On one occasion I became sick and cancelled my appointment only to recieve an email about how Dr. Greenaway is very in demand and my cancelling my appointment due to illness was not only inconvenient but selfish. Dr. Greenaway incorrectly medicated me for years for disorders I did not have and completely ignored the ones I did have. The medications she prescribed to me made my symptoms worse, made me sick, and made me gain weight. When i shared my concerns with her I was shot down and told I didn't understand. At the end of my tenure as her patient, she told me she genuinely did not believe there was anything wrong with me, which is really cute considering I have panic attacks, hallucinations, and a myriad of other hard-to-ignore symptoms of disorders I have since been diagnosed with and am now being treated for. Dr. Greenaway was rude, cold, and very genuinely made me feel as though I was making everything up for attention (spoiler alert! I wasn't). To this day I struggle bringing issues to the attention of my current doctors because of the way Dr. Greenaway gaslit me, ignored my concerns, belittled me, and accused me of seeking medication. Her treatment of me not only caused my mental and physical health to deteriorate while I was seeing her but has had a lasting impact on the way I see myself, my illness, and the way I seek treatment to this day.

I saw Dr. Greenaway for years. She repeatedly denied me medication and refused to help me in the slightest; in this time i was having daily panic attacks and attempted suicide on multiple occasions. I had to drop out of school because my mental health was so bad I was unable to function on any sort of base level of normalcy. I had hallucinations and delusions. She told me there was nothing wrong with me, going so far as to say that my only true problem was an unstable relationship with my father. I ceased seeing her and began seeing another psychiatrist who diagnosed me with bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, and mild psychosis and put me on a series of medication that allow me to not only function but thrive. seeing Dr. Greenaway cost me years of my life that I will never get back and i urge people, especially young people, to avoid seeing her at all costs.

Easily able to understand issues without asking the “mundane” questions, and is able to remember your past so you don’t feel like you’re repeating yourself. She’s very helpful, compassionate, caring and understanding, essentially acts as a very professional and knowledgeable medical friend
