Margaret has been such a huge support for my partner and I in navigating relationship issues. I searched many therapists and found her approach to fit us the best. She’s trained in Imago therapy which was a huge plus for us as it’s something we’ve found luck with on our own. Having her to guide us through our challenges has allowed us to come out the other side of what we thought was a dying partnership. Margaret works out of her home and her office is cozy and inviting. She’s down to earth and real, with clinical knowledge without pretence. Very easy to open up to and feel comfortable with without judgement. Highly recommend her. We will continue to have her support us in our future needs. Thanks to her we have a future together :)

Our family has been going to Margaret at various times for over 20 years. Margaret is an incredibly compassionate psychologist who deeply cares about her clients. She has provided us with so much support and guidance with adopting our son, helping to deal with family deaths and working on strengthening relationships within our family. I honestly don't know how we would have made it through these challenging times with out her. Although Margaret runs a business, she is fully invested and genuinely cares about those she sees. Her clients mean the world to her. I trust her recommendations and guidance and I know she will always give the right advice. Thank you so much Margaret for everything you have done to support our family. You are the best.

My husband and I were fortunate to have found Margaret for couple's counselling. We both felt that our experience with Margaret far exceeded our expectations.

Margaret was very caring and kind, always professional, and effective. She guided us through a series of exercises which allowed us to better understand each other and what was really going on in our relationship, and once that was complete we got right to work with concrete, practical ways to improve our situation. Though my husband and I really came to this work from what we felt like were very different positions, we both consistely felt heard and supported, which was important to us.

We learned so much through our work with Margaret - our relationship is in a much better place now thanks to her guidance. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for support.

I have known Margaret Acker for over fifteen years now. She always makes herself available when I have needed her. She has helped me so many times with dealing with deaths in my family, relationship problems and my other personal issues. She is an extremely good listener, very supportive , I highly recommend her. I can't thank her enough for all the helpful, sound advice, and encouragement she has given me.

I have had relationship issues with my Mother-in-law. I went to Margaret to try to help me deal with a very hurtful situation. Margaret was excellent. She helped me understand that she is old and no longer rational. Margaret helped me keep the issue in perspective and gave me good advice as to how to cope and support my husband at the same time. She is an amazing listener and has excellent practical suggestions. She is caring and kind. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help with relationship situations.

Margaret is one of the most awesome people I know! She is very compassionate, caring, loving, helpful, good listener, and endearing and encouraging.
She has helped me immensely to get through my "stuff" and to like myself better.

My experience with Margaret was excellent in all respects. I was having difficulty trying to understand the nature of my new daughter-in-law, and how best to conduct myself around her so as to maintain a nice family relationship. I found Margaret to be very understanding of my problem. She helped me understand the nature of my daughter-in-law, and she offered supportive advice which I found to be very helpful. I felt exceptionally relaxed and comfortable in her home office and I felt she genuinely cared about my circumstances. She took it upon herself to follow up with telephone calls enquiring how I was doing. I subsequently referred my son to her and he has thanked me for the advice and understanding he received from her. So we have both benefited and I would have no reservation whatsoever of referring her to anyone who is looking for emotional advice for any personal problems.

Margaret helped my husband and me through some tough times, with both of us learning a lot about what makes us react the way we do and why, as well as providing us with positive coping mechanisms. She was unbiased and friendly but very professional as well. Her positive attitude and knowledgeable tutoring of us through our feelings and attitudes has made a world of difference in how we both feel and we continue to follow her suggestions on how to resolve issues between ourselves.

Margaret Acker has been tremendously helpful to my family and I over the years. She has helped us with our communication and learning to understand each other in a respectful way. I could always give her a call when I was really having a hard time and she would fit me in last minute. I felt cared for and supported by her at all times. I don't believe I could have made it through everything without her!
